Anyone who agrees with this thread is a complete joke. Haye CLEARLY won the fight. I don't know what you were watching.
I know i gave Valuev quite a few rounds but i couldnt continue/keep scoring because the fight was so bad
This is NOT how he needs to box at heavyweight, I see where you're coming from, but this isn't Rocky 4, many heavyweight bigger than Haye have went toe-to-toe with Valuev and been simply out-muscled and over powered, Haye could never go toe-to-toe with Valuev. Look at the 12th round that you are all so fond of mentioning, when Haye hurt Valuev, he did close in, and what did Valuev do, grab on, hug, and SMOTHER Hayes punches and Haye himself in the clinch. If Haye had done this from round one, he would have either been tagged and KOd, or leaned on into exhaustion, then KOd. Haye has KOd natural heavyweights before, Valuev is not a natural heavyweight, he's a monster, Haye will not box every heavyweight like he did Valuev. Its a startegy, the best one to execute, and he did it perfectly.
With most fights I can usually see how some people saw and scored the fight the other way round. I can see why some people believe DLH beat Mayweather, why Castillo beat Mayweather, why Dirrell beat Froch (I thought Dirrell won but I can see good arguments for both) and a long list of other close fights. But I can't for the life of me figure out how some people scored this fight for Valuev? It's absurd.Did Valuev even land his right hand ONCE in 36 minutes? If he did it couldn't have been more than once or twice. He barely landed the left hand either. Haye barely landed aswell. But in a fight where BOTH boxers landed very little, you give it to the guy who landed the harder shots. There is ABSOLUTELY NO DISPUTE that Haye landed RIDICULOUSLY more power shots than big Val, who landed NOTHING that can be considered a hard shot. I can't believe it.
Same here mate. The only reasonable explanation I'm willing to accept for someone scoring the fight for Valuev is that they turned the television on for round 10, and then switched it off after three minutes.
No. Haye clearly LOST the fight. I don't much care for Haye and I'm glad that Valuev is gone from the scene, and I believe that he was the beneficiary of a few dodgy decisions. So I'm not overly upset about the robbery. I gave Haye two or three rounds at most heading into the twelfth. It look like he staggered Valuev in that round, but then again, it may have been a balance thing. Valuev is awkward. At any rate 112-116 in favour of Valuev is about as generous as I can be to Haye here. The two anti- Valuev commentators on the feed I watched had it for Valuev too, with one of them thinking that that Haye might have done enough to earn a draw. A very poor bout with little or no skill (or power) on display, and a totally arbitrary verdict from the judges.
I see many British fans getting too sensitive, hey I'm a Haye fan too but can't blame you. You guys get a chance to get drunk and sing wonderland again so all is good.
You should stick to the point rather than trying to label British fans. And we don't need an excuse to get drunk. Don't you know? We drink **** loads at home these days because it's cheaper
Different people have different opinions, if you haven't found out yet I suggest you lay off the excessive cheap alcohol for an hour at least.
