:happy:happy...its a beautiful sight to behold ... Britsh World heavy weight champion of the world ! - Arise Sir David Haye ...
Only a Brit would call this a lovely defensive masterclass. It was a stinker from round one to eleven, because Haye ran.
Haye fought a fight to beat a man 7ft tall and 7stone heavier than him .... What do you expect him to KO the guy with 5 rounds.... Hayes tactical skills were excellent .... fight the fighter youre facing and thats what he did ! ... brilliant performance not great to watch but he held his discipline and won .... against Ruiz you will see a different Haye and Ruiz gonna get KO'd...
No, you attacked my intelligence after wrongly assuming I was replying to your entire post with an emoticon. And if you didn't see the bold, I'd have to ask why a person with so much experience on ESB didn't even consider looking at their own quoted words to see if a word was in bold. It's the first thing I do when somebody quote's my words. You don't agree it was a close fight? You think Valuev clearly won? I suppose you're entitled to that outcome :huh I just can't fathom how you came to it.
I do not think that Haye won the fight, especially 116:112. It is pure madness. The guy ran for 12 rounds barely throwing a punch. Haye's output was the worst ever in a HW championship without any doubt.
He broke his hand in the second or third round. That effectively ended the fight as a spectacle. Anyone disputing it go and look at the thread on this page called Hayes Hands. There are two videos in it, one from this morning....his hand is ****ed. So his biggest weapon was nullified by the third round, which is why the fight unfolded as it did. And with his lesser hand he still rocked Valuev badly in the 12th and still did enough to win.
it was 116 - 112 Haye. And i hate how people who moaned about Froch's ineffective agression are now talking about Valuev coming forward! Rico you hate Haye... Now STFU
I was actually ignoring the news about Haye's right hand because I thought he was just using it as an excuse as to why he wasn't getting in Val's face. But I watched the interview on Sky earlier today where he showed his hand live and it didn't look healthy. Looks like he has broken his hand just below the knuckle.
Valuev hardly landed anything all fight. Haye fought cautiously after he sustained his hand injury, but he done more than enough to get the nod IMO. Haye 116-112 on my card (4 rounds to 2 at the halfway mark). Not a great fight due to the hand injury, but it's 'Job Done' from Hayes point of view. Ruiz in the UK followed by the Klits, that'll do me nicely
Absolutely a horrid fight that established virtually nothing in my mind except that both of these fighters fought like they were petrified of each other. Valuev did hardly anything and Haye basically ran away from Valuev for 95% of the fight.
