I don't even think he's particularly strong for a heavyweight. While he's big, and probably has a lot of functional strength, he throws arm punches a lot and fails to get his full weight behind his punches more often than not. If he learned how to pivot behind his punches and get some leverage on them, then he could probably floor a rhino, but his punches would be so slow that nobody would get hit by them.
it is hard to judge strength by appearance. in college I could lift more than people with bigger arms routinely. also, under the subcutaneous fat you can see he has muscle mass.
Valuev seems like a good guy, and he certainly trains his ass off for a 12 round fight, so kudos. He is a real fighter who has talent.
He is 7ft tall and 300 lbs and has no problem lasting 12 rounds with top 10 heavyweights. His stamina is impressive for his size.
This content is protected He makes a 230 lb man look like a middleweight. I am going to go out on a limb and say he is strong This content is protected Also beneth the small amount of body fat and all the body hair :barf you can see he does have a lot of muscle mass, he is ****ing huge.
Are you claiming Haye can bench 28 stone? That's 392lbs. Haye may indeed be strong, but I can't see him lifitng that.
Muhammad Ali doesn't look strong, he almost looks tall and skinny. Larry Holmes was barely 200 lbs and was chubby; hardly a physical specimen. I am not comparing Valuev to them in any way. Just physical strength doesn't matter as much as it is made out to be. If strength mattered as much as some people think, Bob Sapp would be the greatest fighter ever! With that said though, Valuev is incredibly strong, but that only helps so much.
