Vanes Martirosyan fight is Rod Salka like.

@MVC! is fixing to look a fool if Salka upsets Bandido tonight (or, in the opposite direction I suppose, if he doesn't and V-Mart upsets GGG next month )

 

I have ZERO hate or anger towards GGG, I just think he's coddled and has bully tendencies.

As far as Canelo, I was one of the first to suggest the fight be cancelled or postponed because the results of his tests were positive. I made a thread about it that ended up merged moved to some other thread, in my thread I had a poll and most GGGoons wanted the fight to go on, I did not.
Now that I've answered you about Canelo, he is out of the picture who knows for how long, so I'm more interested in discussing fighters who are fighting soon, not fighters who will be suspended soon.

 

Retreading and twisting what's already been said and acknowledged here. Andrade has only 1 fight at MW and he looked meh against an unproven prospect, before that he went life and death with Culcay. a loss to Lara lol... Who could school Andrade. Those 3 fights all being competitive affairs against top 154ers. Neither fight is good and Andrade isn't a significantly better choice than Martirosyan. FACT. He wasn't given the fight because he priced himself out, not because Team Golovkin was afraid. It's been a rough month for you and the other Golovkin haters, took a while for you guys to regroup and start spinning your webs of hatred for the guy.

 

Are you trying to justify Martirosyan as an opponent, or are you trying to justify Martirosyan being selected over Andrade?

Either way, GGG fighting Martirosyan is low.

 

The latter. Both and O'Sullivan are meh opponents and all one sided affairs. But using the Andrade angle as a means to bash Golovkin is laughable and just shows how low you guys are willing to go.

 

This is not even about Andrade, this is about GGG fighting an opponent who has never fought at MW, who lost his last fight, who lost his last 3 out 6 fights, who has not fought in two years and only has 4 weeks to prep. GGG already permanently damaged Brook dragging him up 13 pounds.

 

If the thread title were:

"Vanes Martirosyan fight is Rod Salka LITE..."

...then I'd agree with it.

But it's not the Salka match. And at least it is an opponent and there will be a fight. Bad one, sure. But still one.

 

Vanes is not the best opponent for ggg, but Amir Khan was even worse for Canelo even because of the drug testing.

 

Another factor for this whole situation is no one knows how long Canelo will be suspeneded. He might be out for 1 year.

DChenko wants to get a full Mando split but the budget for this fight is so thin to the point even Spike turned it down.

They don't have weeks to negotiate.
A replacement monetary estimate was offered and in order to get an opponent, they've got to stay in that neighborhood.

DChenko is being offered step aside dough and a spot on the undercard for exposure.

The IBF won't strip GGG if he goes forward with out DChenko blessing.

They'll simply order a pursebid and GGG can make an off HBO fight in Kaz mid summer.

Chances are, 1mil will win the bid and DChenko will back out of 250k on hostile ground

 

Honestly the guy that scored an upset tonight as kind of a big underdog and entered with a 17-4-2 record is probably among the brightest Golden Boy prospects at the moment.

 

I had Andrade beating Martirosyan 114/113 in a nip and tuck fight.

But I was always an Andrade fan and in hindsight I can see why many believed Vanes should have won that fight.

Vs Lara 1 I had it a draw while many had Lara clearly winning.
But he underperformed in the rematch and Lara got his W legit.
Vs Mello, it was evident that Jermell didn't like the power from Vanes, something Mello fans might consider in his future fights since Vanes is not got one punch power. Just a grinder...a sort of LMW Pascal.
