Vanes Norikovich Martirosyan retiring (...maybe? update: confirmed, blames DKP. Update: BACK!)

Probably one of those cases where "you don't know what you have until it's gone", think everyone's made that mistakes in their life at least once.

 

Don King is scum. I dont know long the contract is with Vanes, but cant he buy it out. Doesnt a promoter guarantee a # of fights per year before the contract expires. There has to be a way out, Mikey Garcia got out of his contract but it took a year and a half. Dont know how.

 

For a boxer to get out of his contract is not easy at all. For example, Taras Shelestyuk, a Ukrainian Olympic Bronze medalist, has been trying to do that for several years already, but will have to wait almost a year more until his contract with the promoter expires...

 

And how exactly is he going to do that..? To break away from Don King? Good-luck with that... To make peace with him?

 

King just won't do that. He will just do nothing. And no other promoter will deal with Vanes, because they know that King will sue them into the woods.
So, that was an emotional post from Martirosyan. He made a decision, felt good about it and decided to let the world know about it. Good.
But then the real life starts... And the best thing he can do now is to make peace with Don King.

 

I dont see how King can get away with signing a fighter and giving him 1 fight in 2 years. Vanes took the GGG fight on 2 weeks notice. I cant blame Vanes because he has a family to support. King must have not lived up to his end of the deal.

 

How much is Vanes buyout? Maybe Hearn can pay it off and sign him. Don King is an evil man he can easily release him if he wants but he likes to ruin careers. Tyson should have killed him.

 

He probably owns vane's soul lol

 

One would think that Mike Tyson's life was a cautionary tale about how not to get involved with a Devil the likes of King... smh.
