Its clear what the VAR is there for - Furys benefit, not Uysk, it'll be "selectively" applied. We know who they want to win, AJ Fury is the money fight. I think Uysk will need to stop Tyson to get the win.

He`s going to punch Usyk on the beltline like Dubois and the WBC don`t want what happened in that fight to happen again.

    No

As long as it's not paid ref Luis Pabon everything will be fine.

Fury's benefit? So Usyk can't milk legal bodyshots as lowblows?

No, the Dubois thing centered around the beltline shots VAR replays may actually have ruled that shot legal and overuled the ref.

Maybe but the reason is because the WBC is cosy with Frank Warren, Sulaiman doesn`t give a crap about boxing or boxers, he`s corrupt.

    I actually like this.
VAR is perfect for such occasions.

But I do wonder how they will apply it. Would the ref start a count once the officials overrule him?

No, it's because they don't want the big title unification fight ending with one guy on the floor claiming he got punched in the balls when he really got hit on the beltline, like fighters do in every fight.

Dubois-Miller were blasting punches on the beltine and on the hips, and nobody batted an eye. Because they weren't getting punched in the balls.

Usyk was complaining repeatedly he got hit low when Dubois punched him on the side and at one point the ref just told him to keep fighting.

Nobody wants to see another Sharkey-Schmeling 1 scenario for the big event.

It's not official and this is team Fury move. As Warren was talking rubbish last couple of days and they are trying to protect their cow. It's so obvious what they are trying to do, aka rob Usyk at all cost, it's beyond pathetic that some biased fanboys are trying to justify that.

This ain't wrestling or street fighting. Rules are there for a reason and on fight nights everything needs to be fair.

Fury and his team are so scared and trying all the tricks, and that still won't be enough. It's so so obvious.

And go cry more for Dubois. Lowblow cheater, who landed more than 20 illegal blows and should have been DQed.
Pabon was paid but by Warren, otherwise Dubois should have been DQ. And most of his body woek against Miller was blatant lowblows as well. Paid ref from Queensberry.
Boxing is becoming a joke and will lose big time if Undisputed is marked with controversy.

That`s probably exactly what Warren said on the phone to Sulaiman.

Hey, Fury wears his trunks up high, too. Usyk can fire away at the beltline. Go to town.

But only one of them complains like his balls are belt high and on his side.

Like I said, everyone's 'on' to Usyk. Even the orgs.

So were Johnson, Dempsey, Louis, Frazier, Ali, Holmes, Bowe, Holyfield, Tyson, Lewis ... and on and on and on.

    You don't "play" boxing.

Surely this will be of more benefit to Usyk.
Everyone is aware of the catalogue of Fury’s transgressions, Cunningham, Whyte, Nganou spring to mind.
Can’t dredge up similar charges against Usyk.
Anyway the self styled “real fighting man” needn’t worry about fighting dirty. He’s only going in against a “middleweight” after all!
