"El Feroz" apparently can't make the 162 lb. limit orignally contracted for his fight with MAyorga. Now this fight is going to be at 168, this puts Mayorga at a huge disadvantage. Hopefully Mayorga ko's Vargas and sends him into retirement with a ko loss. I guess Vargas hiring that nurtition guru, didn't help him out at all.:-(

This is riduculous...this is 14 lbs. above the 154 lbs. he usually fights at. When fighters have trouble making weight, they usually get down to a catchweight of 2-5 lbs. above their usual fighting weight NOT 14 LBS.!! This is an obvious example of Vargas' lack of motavation, work ethic, and will power. :-(

My thoughts exactly. I was kind of interested in this when it was announced; now I am getting to the point of not caring about it.

Also keep in mind Vargas has a serious back injury and a thyroid condition that can't go unnoticed. I don't know how he's fought at all over these last few years...

Vargas is trying the "Castillo" Strategy.

as much as I can't stand that *** "el matador", I hope Mayorga KO's the **** out of Fargas for being such an unprofessional *****.

if you can't make weight, then get another fight with someone your own size. Vargas should fight Miranda at 168 if he wants to test the waters!!!

It's nothing personal, but I wouldn't consider for even one second buying this fight. With all the meaningful stuff happening this fall, it doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

If Vargas can't do any better than 168, he needs to go ahead and retire, which he probably should have done already. I just hope he doesn't get hurt in this fight.

I don't think this will be that big of a deal. Mayorga 'rehydrated' up to 175lbs the day he fought Oscar.

  14. What else is new Vargas has always struggled with weight, a bad Thyroid sure dosen't help, if ****s up your metabilism"spelling"
