Vargas had real fans they stuck by him even till this year even when he lost they made sure they support there guy.

Roy jones jr fans seem to leave him when he lost to tarver and lost that invincibility....you think floiyd jr fans would do the same?

it seems the people only cared about his superiority but when he lost they gave up on him. If his fans trully loved him they would of been ordering his ppv regardless and supported him at the fights by making the trip.

and thats why B hop still does Decent numbers!

when will roy jones jr realize he is not the draw he once was? roy jones jr last few fights done like 15k-20k ppv.

if this fight does good then its because of tito trinidad fans ordering it and atending.

tito has one of the loyal fanbases ever.

Jones JR was still doing around 500k PPVs against Tarver (or was it 350k). That is allot of PPVs considering hes far past his prime and lost his invisability.

RJJ has lost the love on the message boards. His fans were similar to the way the Floyd boy toys are today.

People are also underrating RJJ historically and saying he loses to many fighters who probably wouldnt land a glove on him. In his prime 175 and below there are probably less than 5 fighters who could beat RJJ and he may beat them all he was that good

oh come on man,he was nothing special but got a world title shot after just FIFTEEN fights! Its not like he toiled around the clubs for 40 odd fights with contenders, like marvin hagler for instance.
he SHOULD go toe to toe on those terms.
he was connected with a big hispanic following, little more.

Well...I drove 6 1/2 hours to Boise and paid 300 bones for a ticket to see Roy fight Prince Badi when he was at his lowest, so yeah, I wasn't a fan after he got a couple of losses. By the way, his manager is real cool, she invited us up to her suite and gave us some autographed pics after the fight. Also gave us her card and cellt number if we wanted anything in the future.

Jones Jr hasnt had a big fight since Tarver and that did 300k-500k PPVs. Expect this fight to do 500k PPVs. If RJJ fought BHOPs that would do around 500k and no-one is buying a fight to see Borenard who made 100k pre-Trinidad and pre-Delahoya went back to chump change

Youre utterly ignorant. Vargas went toe to toe with Winky, Ike, Tito, DLH, Campas, Marquez and Shane . .. won some lost some but he laid it ALL on the line everytime. Thats why he had so many loyal fans, period

P.S.-If you get a copy of the Jones-Price Badi fight you can see me slapping Roy on the back during his ring entrance!

That's because of the type of fighter Vargas was. Even at the end he had tons of heart, no matter what he was going through he would still fight his heart out.
