i hope El Feroz pounds mayorga into the mat it'd be a fitting end for Vargas he has always been a pleasing fighter to watch like Gatti and Ward
Hope is about all you can do, but from the looks of it Vargas is going to be a bit drained from the weight loss, unless Mayorga pushes the fight back to allow time for the cut to heal which I doubt the cut wasnt that bad, and there is still two months if Vargas really is at 183 as he has said two months to take off twenty pounds is not going to help him at all.
Are you a true fight fan or a fan of blood? I am honestly worried about Vargas's health here I dont want to see him fight any more, especally after the way he looked in his rematch with Mosley he was flat didnt have nothing and got cracked with one shot, sorry but I think that the Commissions should ensure the saftey of fighters in this one, Vargas should have to go through serious medical exams prior to this fight happening, I think he is going to end up seriously hurt.
Not at all to me. Im not surprised that they fought at the press conference at all. They both talk alot of **** when the mic is in there face. Mayorga definetly took a right hand to the eye.
I just want to see him take a little hurt (mainly to his pride, some to his face), not injured. Based on the SSM fights, his reflexes aren't totally gone, he can still defend himself somewhat, especially against slow, wild shots. I don't see him taking too much punishment. The ref will probably be very protective after the uber-shiner fiasco, and Mayorga is not going to land any accumulative-damage combos. It's going to be the one of the hundreds of loopers flying off the mark that beats the odds and worms through to Vargas's chin, and goodnight! :hi:
