tomlinson is a decent fighter..i went to trade school with a close friend of his who works his corner and i have followed him for quite some time (was watching may v maidana 2 at the same bar as him was to shy to say hi...). Proud of him for getting the 5 fight deal with GBP but i feel like this is certainly a step to far, vargas and tomlinson is going to be a war, they both like to crack and i just feel vargas is atleast 3 levels above tomlinson. would like nothing more then to see a homegrown aussie make the upset but its VERY VERY UNLIKELY vargas tko6
I like Will but he can't expect to be anymore than a gatekeeper or fringe contender sort of fighter IMO. Whereas Vargas has the ability to move to the next level. He isn't as good as even a damaged Dib but is certainly better than Brunker. Not sure how he will approach this fight because he cannot match Vargas in a shootout, he would get kerbstomped. And I don't think he has the discipline or polished D to be successful at trying to box and use the ring..especially when a superior pure boxer in Belmontes didn't even get close. I wish him all the best.
He should be proud of his effort. He must have been in great nick because Vargas was pouring it on from the start and could always find Will with sharp, accurate punches. He put up a good fight considering the class gap. I dont think yank audiences will have a problem with seeing him again on T.V.
