    I scored it 116-112 for Wright. I don't see how anyone could've scored the fight for Vargas to be honest.

    Boxing fans have a tendency to think that just because a fighter who's more of a straight forward type gets a close decision over a skilled technician that it's an automatic robbery.

    doesnt reall ymatter who won it showed that vargas was a great fighter and prooved he can be effective even agasint a skilled southpaw jabber.

    for winky it made a relativly unknown to be noticed and be put him into the top rankers of the light middles...

    it was a perfect fight for both men.


    and for the straight foreward fighter comment. vargas was moving to the right thats good tactics it wasnt a wild swarming motion

    Cant go wrong when deciding a winner in that fight its extremly close one of the closest fights ive seen. I understand Vargas went on to get a big win vs Quartey then had the wars vs Tito and Oscar but I wish Vargas-Winky wouldve got to rematch at one time. Just seemed like after Oscar that Vargas was injured for a couple years then he had a couple real nice wins vs Castejllo and Joval then he was busy with Mosley for 6 months and it was clear after the rematch he was shot to pieces for good.
