Vargas: What's Wrong With This Guy?

Unfair argument, ever since October 2003 till now, Fernando Vargas has been plagued with a back problem, suffering from a bulging disc in his lower back that gives him ever present pain and that should reflect in his conditioning and weight. I used to be around 147 - 154 lbs and after having had health problems, I cannot pull down nowhere near to 162 pounds even if I run all day long, solely eat vegetables, cut down severely on sugars and start pissing blood so that leads me to say that some processes in our organisms must be irreversible.

 

Too much borritos.

 

He's a really big guy naturally. How he made 154 for so many years is beyond me.

 

Roy Jones, Tito Trinidad, Oscar De La Hoya and James Toney have not done so and always moving up... I don't think weightin more 14 pounds is of considerable consequence to the fight at hand since both Mayorga and Vargas don't rely on mobility as much and will try to pound on each other anyway in sluggish fashion. They fight for the money and no one leaves the place without a cheque that night, that's the bottom line.

The Aztec Warrior always had that badass attitude but I've read that he was a freakster in La Colonia Gym, Oxnard, Cali, so the problem here is to choose between nutritional supplements stricter policies or more entertaining fights in pro boxing today, that's the bottom line. Fernando was in the best shape and strength a 154 pounder can be or have in September 14, 2002.

i aint gonna back vargas up on this, BUT HOW THE **** IS MAYORGA A NATRUAL WELTERWEIGHT....HE HAS COME IN AS HEAVY AS 175 IN FIGHTS....AND DONT FORGET, VARGAS STARTED AT 147 TOO....

 

If Mayorga can constantly make it to 154, than he is a natural 154lb - no matter what weight he comes in at on fight night.
