To be fair, the BT Sport commentary team for Kovalev vs Yarde (Barry Jones and John Rawling) had Kovalev winning virtually every round the other day sans obviously the 8th and maybe one more at most.

Andre Ward was giving every possible round he could to Campbell last night and he'd definitely love to see Loma lose.

So that's where the close fight nonsense came from. Agenda driven American commentators swaying sheep is becoming routine.

I think Ward had it level going into the 11th but I'll have to watch it again to be sure because I might be remembering it wrong lol

He had it 96-94 lomachenko after 10. He was very generous towards Luke.

I saw an interview the other day in which Ward said Crawford is number one P4P above Lomachenko due to better opponents.....go figure

Crawfords resume took another hit the other night. He only has a belt at WW because Arum fed him one of the worst beltholders in recent memory there. Lomachenko easily has the better resume. Crawford being p4p is laughable, he's finally in a spot where big 50/50 fights can be made and nothings happening.

As always, Loma spends round one just weighing up his opponent, does it every fight, and time and time again, people start thinking he doesn't know what to do. I was the same, I gave Campbell round 1, and that's it, which isn't saying Campbell wasn't brilliant, because he was.

Ward's P4P top 5 in April 2017 (ie. before Loma fought Rigo)

He put Loma at #4 reluctantly and even the two hosts were bemused by that

''You the man Rigo! I'm watching your tapes. That's a master right there.''

    --Andre Ward

But after Loma literally toyed with 'The Master''

What Loma had done and is doing met Ward's exact criteria for what maketh a P4P#1 in an interview he gave a year or two ago

I agree. The fact that I said Campbell only won one round people are saying I am a Campbell hater. Not at all. Campbell is a very good fighter who put up a valiant effort. Most guys would have quit but Campbell didn't. He came to win but Loma is that good. I just get so tired of people demanding these elite fighters do something phenomenal every time they step in the ring, as if winning convincingly isn't enough. There are definitely two standards set in the minds of many viewers. If the challenger does well, he is awesome. If the elite fighter does well, it's not good enough.

Ward, hell of a fighter. Ward, lousy, biased commentator, to the point of embarrassing and discrediting himself.

The British commentary team (Sky Sports) (not including Paulie obviously) had the fight a lot wider in ESPN fighter Loma's favour than ESPN did and Campbell is obviously British, fights on Sky and IIRC has been fighting on there for a long time, and they all know Campbell personally as well (not suggesting he's mates with any of them though).

The droopy-eyed, perpetually wet-lipped punk refused to put Lomachenko at P4P #1.

You think if Loma had Crawford's resume and vice versa Droopy Eye Licky Lip Dre would have him at #1 and Crawford at #2?

You know the answer to this question. Droopy Eye Ball Puncher wouldn’t have Lona top ten PFP if he had Crawford’s resume. Dre is a joke as a commentator and boxing “expert”.

I truly do not understand the effusive praise for Bud. He is a damned good fighter. No doubt but he has done nothing to put him at the top of a P4P list. He is top 10 with an asterisk, meaning yet to be determined. Kahn is way over the hill and Benavidez, Jr. was a mediocre fighter with a bad leg. Let's see how he does against Spence then maybe we can determine whether he is deserving of top 10 status. Why wouldn't Spence be ranked above Bud? He has the better resume.
