The perfect time was a few years back... Before tank wasted half his prime and before Loma was well past his own. Cowardice is the primary reason it's taken so long to make. Even now, Loma UD seems probable.
Three or four years ago, I'd feel quite comfortable picking Loma by decision. Now, however, I suspect it's a 50-50 fight. Tank does not possess either the length or the imposing physicality that has bothered Loma in other fights. Nevertheless, the Baltimore native is fast, hard-hitting, and actually quite clever with his craft. He's no one trick pony or crude slugger.
If Loma does not get old overnight I favor him to take a decision. But at 36, anything could happen. It’s the same old story with fighters like Davis, and Canelo, aging out these ‘scary’ Eastern European and Eurasian fighters. Truly pathetic and lacking all gamesmanship.
