Much as I liked AA Loma is all wrong for him. Loma is big physical, strong compared to most of Alex s opponents. Super fit athletic, too quick too mobile too flexible and too versatile too sophisticated with the use of unconventional angles for Alex. Sorry but Loma wins ( surprisingly easily) here.
is this opposites day? alexis, as well as half of his opponents, would dwarf loma. take a look at the mancini fight, thats how they compare in size.
Loma's fanboys make me want to always root against him. But I think he will come very well prepared for Arguello. He would avoid every big shot while landing his. Fighters who sit down on their punches are tailor made fighters like Lomachenko.
Rocked? Maybe you need to look that word up. He literally was up immediately and showed no signs of affects from the punch. I watched it several times and if he was hurt he recovered very quickly and made adjustments to prevent this from happening again. Not bad for a guy with a severely injured shoulder.
You are a clown. Unless Gamboa has a time machine, the current version of Gamboa isn’t washing anything except Tanks tiny ballz.
Yes but not straight forward. He’s always giving angles and is hard to hit even though he fights at close range. Who knows how it would go. Alexis was a great fighter. Literally one of my favorites. Not just for his skill but for the way he handled himself. A true gentleman and classy guy. I was crushed when he lost to Pryor but eventually appreciated the super human effort and skill of Aaron Pryor. For a brief time, one of the best I have ever seen.
In my opinion, Alexis Arguello's main strength is his capability to take advantage of his height and reach to overcome his opponent. That guy is very good in keeping his range and accurate puncher. But fighting someone with great agility and speed like Loma would be something different he'd never experience before. Arguello's powerful shot that coming from his big swing would miss a lot as Loma would keep his movement small and quick. Loma is a result of development of modern boxing, surely his knowledge, technical aspect and physical condition might be better than Arguello. So from those aspects, it'd be disadvantages for Arguello to be compared to any fighters of today like Loma. But nonetheless, at his era, Arguello is among the best technician.
You obviously haven't watched Arguellos career. Watch the Ernesto Marcel bout. And that's young lanky Arguello, not prime monster 130 Arguello. 'Miss from his big swing' Arguello is one of the most compact punchers caught on film. His hooks are literally the ideal ala Louis. Maybe watch him more indpeth before saying this stuff? Loma would definitely trouble Arguello at the beginning, that I definitely agree with.
Simpletons often speak the loudest. I've been to a few rodeos in my time but since I don't know what this guy looks like, I couldn't tell which clown he was.
Loma has a chance at 126 against young Arguello. Is competitive but KOd at 130. And gets hurt at 135.
