Patience, grasshopper. How many guys out there had a HOF case before they had 15 fights?

Is Lomachenko fighting weak opposition, or does he just make them look weak?

Campbell is not a weak opposition. Just because he lost and knocked down once by Linares, it made him a bad fighter. In fact, Linares did knock Loma down too and we should credit him for that. It's easy for some people to conclude that he is not good when they only ever watch the highlight of the match instead of actually watching it round by rounnd from beginning to the end.

He is an Olympic champ and currently ranked #2 by Ring. Seriously, I'd put my money on him if we have him to fight Lopez.

Loma has a case for HOF. He's broken records and deserves to be there talent wise too. But ATG status is different. With his resume he doesn't belong there. Or he has to pull a Wlad and dominate for like 10 years. It's hard to be patient when Loma's prime isn't going to be much longer. Sure he could be like Manny/Floyd where he's still excellent at 35+, but thinking either of those guys were even close to what they were in their prime at 35+ is foolish.

If he goes through Campbell and then beats the Commey/Lopez winner early next year, I can see him going back down to 130.

Berchelt and Herring are both TR and hold titles.

If you have guys like Valdez saying he wants to move up. Stevenson is going to move up the second he gets a title as he's already big at 126.

Theres just more down at 130 for Loma after he unifies 135.

I agree that his resume isn't ATG yet, but he's doing a good job of making up for lost time. Assuming he doesn't get injured over the next 4-5 years (and that's not an ironclad safe bet by any means), we should see about 10-12 more fights out of him. Not all of them will be killers, but most/all should be top 5 fighters in their class.

Id love for some more fights to materialize with other P4P guys in that span, but it's too far ahead of time to project who those names might be beyond next year.

For 2020, I'd be happy with the Teo-Commey winner, Berchelt or Tank, and a third fight. We'll see how it shakes out.

He's mentioned going down in weight after unifying 135 and it would make sense for the reasons you listed, especially if Berchelt unifies in the mean time.

I can't remember the last time I saw someone move down and win a world title after being established at a higher weight...usually it's a terrible idea, but Loma seems pretty confident he could do it with no ill effects

Obviously, anyone would be happy with those fights, but most likely it's going to be a Commey then another Commey level opponent. 135 is a wasteland. I actually really like te Campbell fight, but resume wise Loma won't get the credit for that win(from the majority). It's funny cause years from now when the new generation of boxing fans come, they'll probably be talking about Loma's win over Rigo which means absolutely nada, but won't mention a win over Luke(if Loma wins), because he lost a close decision to Linares, that I guarantee he'd win in a rematch, but the record books won't tell you that.

Floyd gave his best performance ever against Canelo. He looked as fast as ever, busted up his face, and was extra slick.

Yeah, I can't see it being an issue.
He didn't move up to 135 because of weight issues, he did it to get bigger fights.
