By the way, I just learned that the reason a lot of upcoming Russian events seem to have opponents all imported from a specific region is because they're doing some kind of league or tournament.

That's fun! Boxing tournaments are always fun! What better way to jazz up a fight between the 38th and 55th best super featherweights?

Every weekend a promoter imports six journeymen from Mexico, buy them matching robes and call them Team Mexico!

Now your lame card is interesting, seats are full, and everyone is happy.

For too long we've allowed Russia to have a boxing fun gap!

Very much. The only guys who've ever KO'd Kuznetsov were southpaws, and Gasanov usually wrecks most light punchers with average skill sets.

I was surprised not to see more Gasanov picks.

He is just so inconsistent though, if he refought his record a hundred times he'd never get the same result twice.

I am exited for the undercard bout between Vildan Minasov and Vladimir Sarukhanyan.
This one will steal the show.

    Round 1: 10-8 Gasanov

10-8 Gasanov; A right hook drops Voytsekhovsky in the last minute as he came in. He didn't look that hurt.
