Salvador Sanchez wins this one against Vasily Lomachenko by close but unanimous decision of an early chess match. We know that Sanchez can take a punch, as he did in his two fights against Danny Little Red Lopez who was a hard hitting recognized fighter. Lomachenko causes problems early because of the different angles he uses to confuse an opponent. But as in the title defense against Pat Cowdell in Dec 1981, after some befuddling rounds, Salvador begins to figure the puzzle of Lomachenko's style, he begins to go to the body, picking up the pace and becoming the aggressor, as he continues to counterpunch very effectively in the later rounds of this 15 round fight. It is a very interesting matchup.
I picked Sanchez but this is a really good fight. I think Salvador is a lot rougher than Loma and he'll wear on him as the fight goes on.
Wow! This match-up caught my attention, the scary thing is Sanchez hadn't even reached his peak. I have to go with Sanchez in this one but it could be difficult because of Loma's legs.
