No poll thread yet, somehow. :nusenuse: April 12th live on ESPN @ Staples in Los Angeles. Ring Magazine belt as well as the WBA (2nd defense of Lomachenko) and WBO (1st defense of Lomachenko) lightweight titles at stake. Crolla is the WBA mandatory contender, but not ranked top 15 by the WBO.

They have one common opponent in Jorge Linares. Crolla dropped a pair of unanimous decision to him in 2016-7, while Lomachenko got off the canvas to stop him in ten rounds last May.

Obviously not the best opponent for Loma to face, but I would rather have him fight someone then not fight anyone at all. :chuck:

Pointless fight, Crolla is done, looked average against Burns and Yordan, he has nothing for Lomachenko. Hi-Tech dismantles and stops him in 8. Knocking him out clean, this will not be a no mas.

It'll be a moral victory for Ant to see the second half, no?

He doesn't have a puncher's chance (he isn't a big puncher, and Lomachenko has a. that matrix defense and b. a solid chin) and there's simply no way he's going to somehow outbox the smoothest boxer of his generation with those boilerplate skills. This is one feat the overachiever cannot possibly hope to achieve, except by maybe a lucky cut-from-a-punch TKO.

give me 20-1 odds on crolla to win and i would not bet at all

he would have to have 1 punch lights out power for you to think he had a chance to win

lomenchenko breaks his hands/ head clash and huge fight ending cut and out of the box ways of crolla winning.

if crolla turned into a swarmer with a granite chin and just threw and threw and threw maybe but he is not and will not win.

    no shame on crolla
    lomachenko is a talent.

Best possible fight that could be made. Loma gets paid and stays active.

Wished it could of been Comney but once his hand heels that fight should be able to get made sometime in summer or latest early fall.

Ticket prices look good. Best available will be $300 and $200. Have to give it a real think. Always wanted to see Loma live. Crolla will bring the heat for as long as he can.

I'm pumped. As far as stay-busy fights go...this is a stellar one.

Pedraza, Crolla, Comney would be one hell of a 2019 and locks up fighter of the year yet again.

Big difference in class here. Corolla's got his hands full just to survive.

For so many reasons, this reminds me of when when Calzaghe fought Peter Manfredo Jr....

What a waste of valuable time.

There's some fights where you go: 'This guy has no chance, but he might cause some problems' or 'This guy has no chance but you never know, he could land!'. This fight is not one of them. It's a case of 'This guy has no chance, and that's it'

A high guard British fighter featherfist against a master boxer. Quite possibly the most one-sided matchup you could have...

Loma on points in one of the most dominant performances we've ever seen at the elite level.

    Yup
He should have pressed the WBA to give him an extension or threaten to vacate
Titles like the WBA are worthless

Gotta admit that this would be Loma's easiest fight for a while.

If Daud was still trained by Campillo at the time of their fight, I don't think Crolla would win and it'd be Daud who fight Loma. Yordan is a gifted talent with an excellent hard punch whose talent is wasted because of mismanagement of his promoter. His promoter is basically a very rich tycoon who cares more about his main business and his involvement in politics and government affairs. Daud worked his ass off in training to keep him fit all the time, waiting for his next fight. But his promoter with all of his money and high-level connection wasn't able to keep him fight regularly, which as a result, Daud only fights once a year. And the promoter also failed to find Yordan a better trainer and international matchmaker.
