Just watched it again I will revise my score.. I gave ortiz 2 rounds... it was a dominant win for Loma... you've got to be a ******ed hater to think it was even close imo.. watch it again.. Ortiz was game but most of his shots were missing and he moves in straight lines.. Loma was running rings around him ... he has a nice jab snappy jab, athletic fighter & will make noise at LW definitely but that wasn't close man.. I think it's that Loma is so special and usually so dominant that when people have a modicum of success against him its exaggerated from those that have issues with him... the only criticism I can have of Loma is his out put dips sometimes but even then his footwork is so good that they still can't really do much with him.. impressive all in all, but once again the size difference was noticeable..

If you think he sucks then you are delusional. He was clearly beset with ring rust against an opponent who knows him well, and still dominated the championship rounds. Obviously his game is forward motion but "sucks" is just plain ignorant.

Haney isn't merely ''bigger'' than Loma

He looks like a different species compared to Loma

I said he weighs three divisions more than Loma but this looks like a 160 pounder standing next to a 126 pounder.

But there's no such thing as a weight bully doe

Now look at Haney who like I said has literally never fought a prime world champion even close to his size in his entire career

He weighs 2 divisions more than all the ones he's fought bare minimum and it's not just weight it's the size and length of your frame and arms which gives you such a huge advantage to utilize your skills against much naturally smaller opponents you hold massive physical advantages over

Proof you didn't read my post

I said he sucks when an opponent forces the fight instead of trying out outbox Loma from a distance. This is why he didnt look good tonight and lost to Lopez and Salido meanwhile looking like the second coming of jesus christ against Nakatani and Commey.

It should be obvious he's a very good fighter, but him looking bad tonight has nothing to do with ring rust. He looked excellent until Ortiz stopped giving Loma respect and actually started bulldozing the little man.

I still think Loma would stomp a hole in Haney if they fight, but Haney has no power to keep Loma honest.

He should drop a division by the sounds of things. What's the point of fighting bigger guys if you don't get any credit for it?

I don't think you can judge Loma/Haney off of this fight at all. When Lomachenko fights Haney he doesn't have to worry about pacing himself or getting knocked out. Loma can focus purely on boxing. If Haney wants to beat Loma he can't potshot all night, he'll have to up his punch output because he doesn't have the power to make Loma think twice.

As talented as Lomachenko is, he needs to adjust his style to suit his age and size. He needs to be more practical. As he's moved up, he's consistently had issues with athletic taller guys who can maintain volume. Haney is that kind of a guy too. Instead of trying to counter jabs with lefts so much, he needs to pump out his own jab far more often; doubling and tripling it, mixing in feints. That way he can set up his offense better and prevent these longer guys from waiting on him to close the distance. I think he could surprise a lot of people with how effective he could be if he boiled it down to the basics.

That said, I thought he beat Ortiz. He was cleaner and more effective, whereas Ortiz threw a lot of touching shots. Lomachenko is past his best, though. He has been since he moved up to 135, but it's more evident now. His stamina isn't as good as it once was and I think that's part of the reason he didn't finish Commey. Haney vs. Lomachenko is a Champion versus his #1 contender in a historically rich division, so I'm all for it.

Haney is not good as Loma. If father time doesn't catch up to Loma, Loma beats Haney easily.

It's comical how a natural 126 pounder who is four months away from his 35th birthday which is, duh, very old for a natural 126 pounder leprechaun, had an extremely extensive amateur career of over 400 fights, fighting at the elite level for much of it, and has been doing grueling training for over 30 years, since he was 4 y/o, and has ever so surprisingly like Korobov, Beterbiev and to a lesser degree Usyk all of whom, yes you guessed it all had extremely extensive amateur careers of 300 + fights too, has like them become very injury prone since hitting his early 30s, is still in his prime according to many clowns. If he was an elite American many of these said clowns would have deemed him shot long ago

Haney is too good rn. I don't think Loma who should really be campaigning at 130 lbs max, could beat Haney. He's too small for 135.

Exactly, I had it 9-3 watching it live. There were only 2 clear Ortiz rounds. 4 and 8. I found another to give him. I think it was the first but that was close.
