Some of you guys were saying that Usyk was getting Slower and maybe age will catch up with him after that kind of speed and stamina against AJ, why are you doing that ? what more you want to enjoy boxing ? does they need to change nationality and become citizen of US so that you can fully enjoy their skills ?

No athlete is in their athletic prime in their mid 30s, that's just standard & not really up for debate. However you can mitigate that somewhat with experience and guile and if you can adapt.

Loma was mainly getting caught when he was in the pocket but he was covering up and blocking the vast majority of the shots and most of the clean ones which did get through were to the body. But obviously he knew he was going to get caught more when he went inside and was prepared to take that risk to land his own shots and he made sure to keep a tight guard and opted to block shots with his arms and gloves in addition to slipping and ducking some whenever he did so.

He blocked an awful lot of Commey's work and although the later was competitive and brave throughout and maybe edged a round or some might even have felt two he really wasn't having that much success and certainly not as much as it first appeared.

It was a really impressive defensive performance considering Loma's aggressive style and the physical disadvantages he had to overcome and obviously you're going to get caught with a few even if you're a risk averse safety-first back foot boxer who uses their length to keep everything at range and won't dare fight in the pocket. Everytime he did take it to the inside Commey immediately let both hands go which was obviously something he and his team worked on.

People are giving Loma **** for taking it easy on Commey and calling for the corner to step in .. but I think it was more a case of I am playing with my food here.. this guy is so far below me in terms of levels I can't even drop down to it.. I think he knew that it was too easy and when he saw they weren't going to stop it he just ****ed around for 12 rounds.. and if the stoppage came so be it .. he was definitely holding back imo.. I mean there was no title on the line and it wasn't really a hugely significant fight so why punish the guy and go all out on him.. I can sort of see what he was doing in a way basically, whether it is to your taste or not.. that's just my opinion anyway, it may be wrong… But anyway, imagine a healthy Loma going all out on somebody like Haney ..

With also the amount of **** recently with boxers having serious injuries from constant "battering", i don't think any boxer wants to know they caused permanent damage.
By the time knockdown happened, he was completely dominanting the fight, there was no more "proof" needed.
