Had loma started 2 rounds before, I bet we would have seen a completely different fight. Maybe he could have ended on the canvas too, btw, or he could have won. But I'm sure it would have been very different. Imho the right choice was to start at 5th

No way it was a draw either. He lost fair and square.

You are fighting for the undisputed and decide to dance for the first 6 rounds ?! Well done Lopez and looking forward to the rematch. Loma thought that he had won !

Mounting an offense is easier said than done when you have to worry about that kind of power and speed. Loma fought hard

5 is the maximum I gave Lomachenko.

Heading into the 12th I thought it could be a draw IF Lomachenko would win it.

But in the end it was 7-5 or 115-113 which I thought was fair. Loma lost that fight by starting too slow.

Yeah, I called it 115-113 Lopez, but I feel as though I was giving him a little too much credit for his brief bursts of activity in some of the closer rounds (7th especially). 116-112 is perfectly reasonable and is probably better than a draw, tbh.

If they fight again, it would be for the second time.

A rematch would be ok. Loma did come on in the back half and was coming off a big layoff. Lopez certainly too good tonight.

Loma might have won, but gave to many early rounds away.
