Do you think lomachenko has the ingredients to become a PPV star? He's entertaining, displays a pure masterclass of boxing and is a two weight world champion in 7 fights. https://youtu.be/ZjemxcnrMsc
He will need to learn English at least a bit. Other than that PPV is almost dead. Streaming has killed that business. The May vs Pac fight is the first time I seen sites get shut down by the government to get all the money for that fight. After it was over, everything came back , but stronger.
I like the guy. He was following the hate Mayweather bandwagon like everyone else but then he seen the business for what it is. I don't see him letting Promoters **** all over him for fights(GGG) or taking pay cuts because the other fighter is negotiating out of fear (Kovalev). He is younger than the other guys so time is on his side.
He is in my opinion the best fighter in the world talking about talent, he can do anything and i watch him since his amateur days and as an amateur he fought and beat many kinds of boxers i wish he unify with the other champs.
I really couldn't care less if he becomes a PPV star or not, will he? It's unlikely. What's more important is that he becomes a great boxer and is recognized as such when he's finished boxing.
Bob is desperate for a PPV star. He's stated several times that PPV's are the only way to make money. I dont see lomachenko becoming a "ppv star", but I'm positive that Bob will put him on a couple of PPV's.
Haha, yeah sure. The only reason you're saying that is because you know the fight's not going to happen. I mean "punks" him.
With the old guard retired, Loma is the best all around fighter in the sport today and a generational type of talent. I'm sure that's overrating him to some. Just calling it like I see it. People didn't like when I said other great fighters wouldn't beat Floyd, either.
Mayweather was very smart money wise and controlled he's own career and used negativity as a great marketing tool Loma wont be ppv, he is Ukrainian doesn't know English so unless they line him up against top Mexicans he will never be ppv
He is more than excellent boxer, there is no need to discuss about his skillset. It's very difficult for EE fighter to become ppv mega-star (knowledge of English, fan base etc.)...So, my prediction is : unfortunately, Loma never will be ppv attraction...
