Here's double Olympic gold medallist Lomachenko's first fight from the WSB. Pro rules, 5 rounds against a guy who is far better than the typical fighter a pro faces at the beginning of their career. The action picks up from round 3. Thoughts? [YT]Us2FxsfQDCQ[/YT]
he was adapting the 1st couple of rounds after the 4th the gap in class was shown, hopefully after this WSB thing finishes he goes pro and same goes for Usyk!!!
great performance, love how he takes a few rounds to find all the loops and rhythm of his opponent and works on them beautifully. maxwell took many good shots too and kudos to him for not going down, some of the body shots seemed crazy...
Can't wait for him to actually turn pro, he's gonna kick some serious ass, imagine him vs broner, gamboa or any of those guys
A big well done to Sam Maxwell - Not long ago he was boxing on regular amateur club shows. He can be very proud of this performance against the best amateur on the planet.
He's only 24yrs old, i guess this isnt such a bad way to prepare for the Pro's because as TS said his opponent is a lot better than usual suspects early in a Pro's career.
