On the Ukrainian Boxing Federations website he said he wasn't going to this years world championships, was leaving it to the next generation and was focusing on his pro fighting. Didnt sound like he has plans to participate in amateur boxing.

Also after the Olympics he sounded rather disgusted with the judging and officiating saying you had no idea if they were going to give you points or not and it effected the way that he fought. Being conservative and not taking unnecessary risks which made him more boring to watch and was very unhappy about it.

Last time i remember him having hand problems was when he broke one of his hands early in the 2009 World Championships. He fought at least 2 or 3 fights with a broken hand yet still beat Vodopyanov 13-1, hasn't seemed to be an issue since then. I don't know anything about the elbow injury but at Ukrainian Nationals in 2011 he fought one of his fights for 2 rounds with only his lead right, literally throwing 3 and 4 punch combos with his front hand and still dominated. I assume thats when it happened.
