I think Lomachenko had a phenomenal year, knocked out Martinez and made Walters quit. But I got to go with Frampton. He beat his domestic rival, then moved up to the featherweight division and beat one of the best featherweights in an exciting toe 2 toe battle! He also took two 0's in the process, So Frampton gets my vote, but wouldn't be mad to see Loma win it either!

    Between him, Frampton and Chocolatito.
I lean towards Frampton but anyone of those three would be a very worthy winner.

SOG for me to unseat the unified LHW champ is about as big as it gets, I know it was contraversial people don't bite my head off but had Kovalev got the nod I would be picking him right now.

Chocalito struggled with Cuadras and many people felt he should have lost to Cuadras. Frampton and Lomachenko beat both their foes decisively, but Frampton took 2 0's from 2 very tough fighters and did it in 2 separate divisions.

Agreed, Frampton's win over Santa Cruz is win of the year, great achievement and performance.

Would be happy with Loma or Frampton, both did very well this year.

    Other notable FOTY candidates:
    Gonzalez
    Crawford (assuming he wins Saturday)
    Usyk (assuming he beats Mchunu)
Ward (for beating Kovalev - I disagreed with the decision though)

Sorry not sorry most aren't going to agree with you. I guess all the rest of them are racists too. Get a life. All in your feelings about boxing.

Frampton DOES NOT have a case against Lomachenko. Frampton will probably get it ONLY because he captured Irish hearts.
    1. 2 time world champion in 7 pro fights.
    2. 2 weight world champion in 7 pro fights.
    3. Looked TBE in his performance vs Martinez, knocking him out. That far exceeds a proven average, domestic level Quigg.
    4. Made the elite Nicholas Walters quit and dominated him. Leo Santa Cruz-Carl Frampton was a razor close fight.

People are ignoring the fact that Lomachenko is doing this all in a few pro fights. You don't just transition to pros like that. Loma is still transitioning and doing this.

I would say it's Loma or Crawford. Crawford completely dominated Postol. Ward struggled and really, he lost against Kovalev, looked average for his hype against Brand.

Frampton has a very good win over LSC but looked rubbish against Quigg. They both did. Frampton also ran from Rigo after saying Quigg was ducking him.

I get your point but seeing as it was the consensus that the winner of that fight would be no.1 by most, I think everyone who said that should stick to their word. It feels like most people backed out when the guy they fought won or wanted to win didn't get the nod.
