Clearly Lomachenko with the only reasonable secondary choice being Framption. With that being said watch the agenda laden scumbags give it to Crawford again or God forbid Ward.
I'd favor Frampton. I just think his wins this calendar year are superior to that of Vasyl's. I think Gonzalez also deserves some recognition after the great year he had. Him beating Cuadras is arguably one of the 2 or 3 most impressive wins in his entire pro career. Still, I'd favor The Jackal for the reasons already mentioned. Quigg was an undefeated world champion at 122 lbs and Leo Santa Cruz was an undefeated champion at 126 lbs (and arguably one of the top 15-20 P4P fighters in the sport when they met.) I was concerned about how good Frampton really was after he almost lost his US debut last year, but he had some kind of 2016.
I thought it was Frampton's award this year until the Lomochenko dismantling of Walters. To take a feared fighter like that and make his ask his corner to quit is an amazing perofrmanxe. No way is it Ward. Most reporters and writers had him losing they will vote for him although it was the biggest fight of the year. Had Kovalev gotten the decision I think he "may" have gotten the award.
