Vasyl Lomachenko Is The Fight Game's 2017 Fighter of the Year...!!!

Joshua's win over Klitschko is better than any of Lomachenko's wins this year. Pretty decisively so. And I'm someone who has spent more than their share telling others not to overrate Joshua's win. But that's not what I want to focus on in this response...

This is the first year where a bunch of people are picking a specific guy to win FOTY but quite literally none of them are discussing specifics of that candidate to rationalize the choice.

Talk to me about Lomachenko's year.

Rank Lomo's wins among the other top candidates' (Srisaket, Crawford, Joshua, Santa Cruz, Ward) wins in a list format from best to worst. Shouldn't take long to do. Honestly, I'd love to see that.

 

Joshua got knocked down by a 41 year old past prime Wlad (whose once fearsome jab, his timing and reflexes were gone) and lost several rounds to him, even needed to spit out his mouthpiece to buy some time. That is better than Lomachenko schooling Rigondeaux? Sure. Who cares if that was FOTY? Salido - Vargas was FOTY as well but that means nothing when it comes to naming the fighter of the year. Lomachenko is ten times better than that stiff mechanical bodybuilder, they are not even in the same league as boxers.

Ward's win over Kovalev is probably the best out of them all if we ignore the controversy, but Ward only had one fight in this year. Srisaket's KO against Gonzalez is on par with Lomachenko beating Rigondeaux. Let's not forget Gonzalez is undersized at 115, he arguably lost to Cuadras too. The rest don't compare.

 

Joshua is a robotic , empty tank stiff, his win over shot Wlad means nothing.

Umhhhhh.. It's about as good as that recent win over Cotto! WK by that point was great in name only.... Horn got a better win! PAC is well faded sure but he's was active & coming off wins over Vargas & Bradley, what was WK known for at this point????

Lomas win over Rigo would be similar to say a Mikey Garcia fighting a Thurman or Spence etc depends in what stock u put in weight jumping versus a more equal size but far fading fighter.... I think Garcia would pose more threat & be a better win for them than say a Cotto type at this stage. A great name without proper context is misleading & shows poor reasoning.

 

Most guys with some level of fame and are even decent looking pull lots of hot chicks. Actually they dont pull anything these women are leeches.
