Mayweather is too quick and slick at 130. He also had a great offence, just look what did did to Corralles at 130.... Loma would seriously be overwelmed by Floyd at 130.
His style is hardly exciting and 27 is not particularly young for where he is. I think he spent too much time in the amateurs and that's his own fault. Also, I feel like he's not quite as good as advertised, albeit still very good.
Salido didn't make weight for his fight with Lomachenko. God knows how big he was on fight night. On reflection, Lomachenko should have pulled out of the bout, especially as it was only his 2nd pro fight. I think that loss is a little deceptive.
If the ref went by the official rules of boxing then Loma should've won via DQ or points after Scumlido had 10 points deducted for illegal tactics.
Loma in his first few pro fights did what Mayweather never did in his entire career: challenge himself!
I don't think that's fair to say about the FW division. IMO it's always been one of the best divisions in the sport, and the current fighters that are there are solid/top quality. I do agree with you on him being the future. I'd say it's him and ROman Gonzalez. Not to get sidetracked on here but I wouldn't favor him over Mayweather Jr at 130 lbs. You're talking about the best fighter in the history of the SFW division.
Loma is better than Corrales though. Loma would have been Floyd's best win of his career though. He's that good.
Because he hasn't fought at 130 and PBF is the GOAT at 130.:deal With that said I think he's the future but the way his career has stalled has troubled me I wanted both the Rigo and Walters fights hopefully he can get back on track soon he's a special fighter.
Yep its a leap of faith to say he can best Floyd. But I feel like he has the talent and if they fought they would need a trilogy to settle it. His win over Russell is the best win since that fight in boxing. He just needs to get back on track.
