Was only a matter of time until someone made a video comparing the footwork of Lomachenko and Canizales. Another great video by @haNZAgod

Loma's got great footwork but he needs a weapon ala Pacman's left hand and right hook to be a force at 135 , I still can't believe that Lopez catching up with Loma's pivots neutralized him for 6 straight rounds.

Man I'm not so sure if Orlando didn't have the better footwork.
Sure Lomos is flashy and effective but Orlando uses his more to launch attacks where Lomo at times uses his to hide from opponents and then attack from an unorthodox angle.
And Orlando's footwork seems more precise.

That's because it was. Lomo arm punches most occasions, especially when he steps out to his right.
Canizales better fundamentals is clearly visible in that small video.

I thought I was crazy thinking that. Its like when Orlando switches angles its too land a powerful punch at an unexpected angle and when Lomo does it it seems more of a move to confuse and disorient an opponent first and then he catches them with shots from different angles.

I know Canizales fought within himself and never unified etc but he really was a sight to behold in full flow. Both guys had tremendous feet but I prefer watching Canizales even though Lomachenko is hypnotic.

I love watching boxers with amazing feet to create angles like this. Was watching Wilfredo Gomez pre-Salvador Sanchez fight and man he was an amazing smooth boxer puncher, i think Canizales has a little Bazooka in his boxing with a bit of Duran

I was looking at Canizales' record earlier. It's solid. However I noticed he had a number of split/majority decisions for an against him. Can anyone add clarity to these bouts? Did he win a few he didn't deserve; did he lose some he deserved to win? Were the renderings accurate?

Just had to come back to this thread after seeing this upload. This guy definitely fills the void now that Loma has been inactive.
