I can testify to this. Sometimes you start out not in the mood, then they're so good they get you in the mood. It's hard not to think of NYC as kind of passé due to the amount of women I've met who regularly go there so they can pretend they're in an episode of Sex And The City (or else want to go there so they can pretend they're in an episode of Sex And The City), but it can be a hell of a place sometimes.

I’m a huge fan of technical boxing matches it’s probably the reason why I enjoy the science and poetry that goes on in the ring and like most artists their work isn’t fully appreciated until years after their expiration date. Needless to say Loma versus Floyd prime for prime is PPV worthy.

No doubt, there would be an awful lot of skill and talent on display in that one.

Everyone has this vision of the polarized New York sceen, its either glitz and glamour or drugs and homocide. The real city can be found floating within that cloudy balance.

That's a neat and accurate way to put it in prose. I had some great times there, but I think that owes to forming relationships in the city, living the place across years of regular visits. If my only experience of NYC was the usual tourist junk (Top of the Rock, etc.), it wouldn't be one of my favorite stateside haunts.

That said, I think I wore it out, for a while at least. I just wanna spend as much time as I can in a golf buggy up the Bürgenstock these days.

I lived approximately 8 city blocks and 2 avenues away from the Empire State Building for about 15 years and never even stepped foot in the place or even cared too. It’s a testament to the subtle arrogance and silent discontent for tourists that native New Yorkers carry in their belly’s.

At this stage I can admit I envy your golf aspirations, I’m head of an active household with kids and grandparents that have recently retired and want to shack up closer to the immediate family. I’m starting slowly deteriorate physically that is and my best contact sporting days may very well be behind me even at mid 30’s......golf and poker are the next missions.

Before I stop derailing this thread, I should note that I don't actually play, I just drive the things around the mountain when I'm there.

Even current Floyd would have a chance. He's MUCH bigger than Loma. We're talking about a guy who's a welterweight, and a guy who's a lightweight at the very most.

It's nearly 2018, you'd have thought someone would have invented a time machine by now.

Sorry Kevin I know you limit your communication to only a few subgroups/earthly inhabitants and all this spontaneous human camaraderie makes you uncomfortable, my apologies sir.

Btw what are your thoughts about the match up?

Well Lomachenko is the smaller man, but not massively smaller. If Mayweather shoots a jab or straight and it's missed or blocked he's shot his load. He has to pull back his arm and recover, Loma is quick, so as Floyd's doing that Loma rushes inside to establish position. Now if Mayweather was some big strong LMW like say a Julian Jackson he would just push Loma off him or muscle him off and fire back with something even if he's off balance or out of position and then just rock Loma for a stoppage. That's what you can do when you're that much bigger than your opponent. But what happens when you're not that huge compared to him? You can't just fling him off, push him to the ropes and pound him.

Mayweather is not as big as people say he is. He's bigger than Loma, but he's a very small WW. He's even kind of small of LWW.
