You have no idea. Floyd Mayweather never fought anybody near as good Loma is right now. But the same can be said for Loma. None of his opponents were as good as Floyd was in his prime.

Don't act like Floyd's seen guys as good as Loma is right now. Because he hasn't.

Mayweather was never a huge puncher, but in the lower weights and before his hand problems he could punch a little. Enough that nobody was going to walk through him without paying a price. And you didn't want him landing too much either. Obviously he was no Diego Corrales type puncher, but again you didn't want Floyd to land clean because it could hurt.

And he was fast. Loma's fast too.

But I see a real problem with Lomachenko's power and physicality. He doesn't have any power. Actually his power (what little he has) is overrated because of that 1 KO he had of Martinez. Which was a punch Martinez didn't see coming, flush on the chin. That can happen to anybody. The guys he hits they almost never react. You don't really see them wince, there's no real incentive to back away, retreat or cover up. Because he just can't really punch.

Once Mayweather figures that out everything changes. And then maybe Floyd walks him down. It could happen.

Everyone beats Floyd according to most on this forum. Loma is just another of the many fighters better than Floyd. So why bother creating a poll? Floyd is a C level fighter in this forum.

It will be a close chess match, but I don't think floyd counter punch will trouble Loma.
    Loma by decision.
Too busy even for a young floyd.

Less than a day has passed since Loma-Rigo. For us minority folk who don't think that Lomachenko is the best boxer who ever lived (please don't shoot me or throw me in a gulag!), it's an oppressive time to be voting in a poll like this. Are people allowed to say that Floyd would win this fight? Is dissent tolerated? Are differing views verboten? Is this thread a brutalist monolith? Is ESB becoming a communist state?

This stuff is nonsense. Floyd would’ve never got credit for dragging up a smaller 40 year old like Loma just did and some of you idiots are over here talking about fighting Prime fighters lmao

Rigo and Walters were both starved out by Arum and inactive. Sosa was an instrument used to de-value Walters and didn’t deserve the nod against him. Marriaga was coming off a loss and moved up a weight class. You guys understand you’re praising fyucurry chicken right and you’re trying to double standard this bs against what Floyd has done lmao

You guys are setting up a protected fighter. Loma is not going to hold out as long as Floyd has and will take an L again if Bob doesn’t keep putting him in with rigged bouts where guys are already beaten before they step in the ring. Please come at me.

Sounds to me like a rant about a whole lot of nothing. Lomachenko is in his prime right now. He's better than anybody Floyd ever fought. What Floyd opponent is better than Loma is right now? Ancient Pacquiao or old man Mosley? Please. Come on.

Ancient Pacquiao would've beat Salido, Old Man Mosley would've knocked him out.

Well, you do make a fair point. If Floyd had gotten his wish and fought Naseem Hamed -- who was much more dangerous than Rigo, had a much better overall résumé than Rigo (Donaire, whom Hamed would've splattered with whichever hand he chose, be damned) and was still in his 20's -- it probably wouldn't be getting much credit from some now, even if it'd taken place at a catchweight of 128.

You’re jumping to conclusions too fast. Loma hasn’t even done what Manny has who was number 2 of this generation. Floyd is the best of this generation and still makes more than all of these new guys including all other combat sports.

    Stop d-riding.
