He isn't world class and has looked poor since the Lopez fight (which he deserves credit for). He was lucky to beat the journeyman last time out.

Also, there is no such thing as a weight bully. It's an invented concept by dumb fans.

Most fighters will be made to look average at some point against a fighter they should beat easily. The fact remains that Kambosos was an undefeated, undisputed champion only 18 months ago. And his only losses are to the guy who is the best in the division.

Anybody suggesting that he’s no longer entitled to fights at this level is a moron.

He is not a worthy opponent for an aging great like Loma, who does not have many fights left.

Beating a 2x Haney leftover does nothing for Loma at this point other than give him an easy payday. Which is perfectly fine. It’s just not going to enhance his legacy at all.

And that’s fine, but that’s also on Loma who took the fight.

But comments that diminish Kambosos as a legitimate player in the division do you a disservice. Loma could have made other choices but Kambosos is not exactly a spent force.

Kambosas may not be a spent force, but he’s also not world class. The only way this bout will be competitive is if Loma has gotten old overnight.

Where is the competitive tension? I just don’t see it. I don’t begrudge these guys for getting paid, it’s just a waste of a late career Loma fight imo

I agree with that but that is not where the genesis of this debate comes from.

I don’t think Kambosos can beat Loma but that’s not the same thing as saying that Kambosos has no right being in the ring at that level.

Whatever you think of Kambosos (and I don’t especially rate him either) his record should be allowed to speak for itself. He legitimately sat down and then beat an undefeated, highly rated P4P champion. He held all the belts. And his only losses are to the guy who runs the division (who also beat Loma BTW). He is absolutely entitled to be there.

Will he beat Loma? Probably not. But it’s on Loma to determine what fights he takes and clearly he sees Kambosos as a fight worth pursuing.

This fight has about as much buzz as that hornet's nest in my yard after I emptied half a can of Raid into it.

    Yeah, it's sickening.

    At 160

    Golovkin 168 vs Proksa

    Golovkin 170 vs Macklin

    Golovkin 167 vs Rosado

    Golovkin 170 vs Monroe

    Golovkin 170 vs Lemieux

    Golovkin 170 vs Jacobs

    At 140

    Haney 165 - Rougarou 156

Just 2lbs and 3lbs less than what GGG weighed against Rosado and Proksa respectively and 5lbs less than GGG weighed in all those other fights despite the fact that one of them is a career 160 who was fighting at 160 and the other was having his first fight at 140

    And Haney has a 71'' reach to GGG's 70''

I love GKJ I'd love for him to win but it's not going to happen. Oh wait a minute. Another rigged result? Loma's been cheated once before. George got the nod against Hughes which was bs.

Even with dodgy judges it can't happen as the result will be that lop sides or end in K.O for Loma. Loma just has to make sure he gets here early to avoid jet lag but he will. He's not silly. Haney was ok with it twice.

Haney destroyed GKJ. Loma beat Haney. Now GKJ to beat Loma so they all take one off each other?

Nope. Loma's odds are very good.
