It's like they've been watching the sport for a month. Like a previous poster said there have been times were a fighter can see something that would be hard for us or the ref to pick up. No one wants to cause serious injury to someone unless your a psychopath like Wilder.
Kambosos's hands down, head forward style is all wrong for Loma. Loma would feast on that kind of style, especially since Kambosos doesn't have the best head movement. Loma would corner him and batter him. And I'm a Kambosos fan.
George The Great says all the right things, is charismatic, has a really likeable and engaging personality, is a damned good fighter who was excellent against Lopez but Loma is by far the most skilled fighter in the game and his skills, special effects and magic tricks aren't just next level they're otherworldly and even against this lost a step or two campaigning out of his natural weight class version of him you ain't beating him unless you're much naturally bigger than him and are super talented in your own right and he isn't 100%. Lopez is super fast, explosive, athletic, skillful and possesses savage KO power but despite his vast physical gifts he would've got euthanized by Loma if they were even remotely close to the same size naturally as each other, even an unhealthy version of Loma. I was paying close attention to George's size in relation to Lopez's all throughout the build up to their fight and I was watching interviews trying to find out how much he walked around at and rehydrated after weigh ins, but the one thing that struck me was he always looked pretty much the same to me and I knew that the Lopez we saw at the weigh in was going to look a lot different to the one we saw before and after it. Lopez is a lot naturally bigger than Loma but George looks more like an average sized lightweight to me and Loma is just on his own level and the only reason he's able to campaign up at 135 and still be as effective as he is against all these giants is because his skill level is absolutely insane.
There's literally no reason to be bothered by it. He was doing the guy a favour, hardly disrespectful. Commey was out of his depth why take further punishment. Some people just have **** takes on everything
The skill and intelligence gap between Loma and Kambosos is significant. One armed Loma deserved the win against a welterweight in Lopez. Kambosos is smaller than Lopez , and size is really what you need to stand a chance against Loma. If Kambosos can find some magic steroids to shift his natural size and frame to a welter/light middle and then get someone to tranquillise one of Lomas arms then he may win 4 or 5 rounds off him.
Something about they way he did it rubbed me the wrong way, it was like he was DEMANDING the towel be thrown in, he obviously could have finished Commey if he had just committed to it instead of trying to get the towel thrown in. I guess you could argue he was trying to save Commey, but it's defend yourself at all times, if Loma had damaged Commey it's on Commey's corner or the ref, not Loma.
Kambosos will not be intimidated by Loma that's for sure. He's very mentally tough as he showed against Teo.
Kambosos stepped up his game considerably against Teo, considering his past opponents struggles. Although Usyk looked the goods at Cruiser, in his 1st heavyweight fight he didn't look the cut, then far exceeded his earlier performance in the Joshua bout. If Kambosos can take it up another level or two it's going to be one hell of a fight. Or maybe his team has a very good game plan for Loma.
its possible. there are ways to negate what loma does best. but you need a coach good enough to teach the fighter how, and a fighter good enough to get it done.
It's called being a sportsman and more importantly a human being. Loma probably saw or felt something in Commey and didn't want to seriously hurt him. What did you want? For Loma to beat down Commey to the point he would be a vegetable for the rest of his life or die in the ring? I swear, some of you are 100% mouth breathers.
RJJ did the same thing. He told the ref to stop it, once he realized the ref was letting it go, Jones kinda shrugged, oh well and went on to ko the guy.
