What a farce of a fight... it's obvious the weight made a huge difference.. the size made Loma overplay the holding so much to get the point deduction with the wrestling. Loma didn't really land a shot of note the whole fight, it's obvious Rigo quit because he knew he'd be DQ'd if the fight kept up.. and he wasn't strong enough or big enough or fast enough to do something to slow down Lomachenko.

At this level of skill, the size made the difference.. I know posters will act like that wasn't the key factor.. it was the key factor.

It was a like MW against a WW.

To be fair to Rigo, that size advantage was pretty significant. You could tell they were TWO weight classes apart.

Oh man would I love to find a post of mine from over a month ago as I called the No mas as Lomo just has this effect on folk, mind disintegration as much as physical pain I’d say with Lomo.

All that anticipation, for what ultimately was a non-event. Stopped being competitive after the first 3-4 minutes.

For any of you new-jacks that haven't learned your lessons yet:

Don't ever get excited about hyped up boxing matches.

Just watch the sport long enough and with expectations low enough, and you'll be pleasantly surprised often enough to keep the hobby enjoyable. Otherwise you're setting yourself up to be a bitter, angry dude.

Respect to Loma for telling it like it is. He knew he was too big for him. Boo to Rigo for quitting. You don't quit!

I don't think so. He is older, but that is just an excuse. He fought well for a long time. He just ran into a fast skilled fighter. Too bad for Rigo, but sometimes guys are too good.
