Cruz dont have the footwork or foot speed to compete with loma, he be getting turned all night and the spirit beaten slowly out of him, you need feet to compete with loma, hes another plodder in the realm of the nakas and commeys to make loma look good. Good stay busy fight for loma to keep him sharp while he waits for his shot from george.

I think there is about 0.0% chance Lomachenko fights Issac Cruz. There's less than zero public interest in that.

Yes. But there are very few people who are willingly to fight him in the entire lightweight division, let alone its top 10.

The only names I see in the (Ring) top 10 are Jojo Diaz, Fortuna and him.

Loma needs have back-up plan in case Kambosos chooses not to fight him now.

Cruz would've given Loma nightmares at 135. An extremely active iron chinned pressure fighter who never takes a step back

Are people really saying Lomachenko wins this easy ? You cannot be serious. People just ignore how limited Loma is when he's forced to walk backwards

Cruz isn't an easy work for anyone at 135 or 140.

    How things change over time.

Bet you have your fair share that wouldn't mind seeing this now.

my 2022 answer vs. my answer today:

In 2024 this would be a very difficult fight for Lomachenko. Cruz's style is poison for elite boxer punchers (not that he'll necessarily win), but throughout history, the foil for boxer punchers has always been crowding brawlers. Loma is getting to the point where he could be in danger of being outworked and losing a decision (Haney and Jamaine weren't really all that close and he lost both). Cruz's activity is eye catching .

    2.5yrs later...there is public interest

But he's still Loma's 3rd choice after Tank (obviously) and Shakur who's in house TopRank

In my opinion Loma loses to all top 10 fighters. What an exaggerated boxer.

    Cruz by UD.

Cruz would be a very difficult matchup for Loma, especially if it took place at 140 for Cruz's WBA title where Loma would be tiny.

Loma would have better luck against Shakur at 135 tbh. Outboxing a low volume featherfist is an easier task than trying to keep pace with a relentless heavy-handed Mexican pressure fighter at Loma's age.

I absolutely love Cruz but I think Lomo wins a UD. It's no secret what Cruz's game plan would be. Most can't handle the pressure and pace he fights with but Lomo is always prepared and will put together a game plan to neutralize Cruz's effectiveness.

Actually I think Loma stops him TKO style
