Categorically and arrogantly disagree. EDIT: I do agree, Pac is more of a fighter than Loma is, and more ferocious @Manfred

Lomachenko by decision. His timing and footwork would offset Marquez and leave him out of position fairly frequently, Loma's exceptional against orthodox fighters. I think Marquez would put some very good work in but ultimately come up short.

Last? He would of won his share of rounds. Since when is JMM this unbeatable fighter? I remember him losing to Lil" Hagler, who by the way is a southpaw.

Pacquiao is the most ferocious and physical Featherweight in boxing history. In terms of attributes and ruggedness Loma is nowhere close to Pacquiao. Not even close. You know this.

Very little size difference between them. Though I'd say Marquez is bigger if I bad to pick.

Marquez would get destroy by Loma but Maroid has a puncher chance. Nacho might have a heart attack.

I'm a bit embarrassed how I over looked Loma and didn't start paying attention to him until his last fight vs Walters, who I thought was VERY good. I didn't realize Loma only has about 8 pro fights!!!! It looks like a UFC record. But the speed he has come up the ranks is simply amazing in boxing. And i took a look at his amateur record, 396-1!????? WTH!!! 2 Olympic Gold medals! This guy is unreal. This guy has a great chance to beat become a true ATG.

I'm thoroughly on the Loma bandwagon but the extent to which Marquez is being dismissed here is amazing. JMM is one of the preeminent counter-punchers of his era, has an extremely high ring IQ and has a proven ability to deal with southpaws.

Let's just calm down a little.

Just the thought of this fight prime vs prime reminds me not only how great marquez was but also how promising loma currently is. we have been spoilt with great fighters over the last decade or so, so much so that when a guy like loma hits the scene now hes looked at as this other worldly fighter, There was a time where there was a great selection of fighters of similar level competing at the same time.
