Its still way too early to say Loma isn't as good as Pac. I have a feeling once Loma gets to 30-0, there will be very few people saying anyone was/is better than him.
I edited that comment. I do believe Pac at 126 is better at fighting and more ferocious than Loma, not necessarily better overall. Yeah, I think it's only once Loma beats Mikey, Salido and Gamboa will people start really believing Loma is better. Loma has to ultimately prove he's better. I get it, in a way it's a disrespect to what the likes of Pac have achieved.
Loma's footwork is the key to him outboxing Marquez, but in a war, Jmm would take him to waters Loma has never been in. Even Mayweather knew not to war with Jmm.
At this point I'll go with Marquez until I see more of Lomachenko at 130. If Marquez can time Pac and even crack Mayweather with a few crisp rights, then he sure as **** would clock Loma too. And when he does, Loma's punch output would go down and he would do a lot of posing and feinting.
I really don't see it as that competitive, it's an easy fight for Loma. People are scared to say it, don't be.
I'd be interested in seeing how the angles play out. Loma is very athletic with his feet but so is Pac, Pac was able to get lead foot positioning and align that left straight on pretty much everyone but JMM, who controlled the center very well. So I see it as a close fight in which JMM probably times Loma when he comes in after learning his patterns for a few rounds.
A featherweight was much more aggressive, dangerous and careless that plays into Marquez hand. Look at this fight more like Marquez pac 3. Loma will be aggressive but more control, there will probably no kd. But Loma by decision.
All 3 fights were close as ****, and arguably JMM won all 4 fights, well we know the 4th fight for sure though, right?
They split 2-2 first and 3 for pac, 2and 4 for marquez. The second fights IMO is the best. I have only watched fight 4 once. Too depressed lol
This fight will never happen unless it is 5 years from now when JMM is old as dirt. Arum would never put his potential cash cow in with the likes of a JMM because if he did, JMM would make Lomo drink his urine. If LOMO were a fraction of the fighter as an Ali, he'd move up and face Spence.
So in trying to piece together the blueprint to beat Loma and find a prime-4-prime(ish... Loma not there yet) opponent, you think: 'ok, we need someone in or around his weight class, who can deal well with southpaws, has power and times right hand counters like a dream'. That's the blueprint. And then you dismiss JMM? Crazy....
