Okay, much is made of Lomachenko's loss in his second professional match to the perpetually ball pounding dirty rotten scoundrel of an blown up Welterweight Featherweight Orlando Salido, who had every possible advantage going into the match, including the shittiest ref this side of the Rio Grande Laurence Cole. Now keep in mind most fighters wilt against Salido, the longer the match progresses, even the guys who beat him soundly don't perform as well in the later rounds, whereas Loma who had never fought pass 5 rounds in the WSB, his first pro match only lasted 4. Loma not only closed well, but closed the stronger of the two, and better than almost any other opponent aside from maybe Gamboa. Think about it, this is his second pro fight, most guys are eased into 4-6 rounders, then 8, eventually up to 10 and finally up to 12, and even then, most seem to gas out in the second half. He while in there against one of the roughest toughest hombres in the business, who frequently drags guys into savage bloodcurdling wars of attrition, managed to look sterling in the 12th round, still maintaining his power and accuracy and repeatedly hurt Siri. That in and of itself is a laudable achievement, in a match that alas, he lost.... But did he? I've never scored the match for Salido, I had it a draw the night of the fight, which IIRC there wasn't an official RBR on here for, but in follow up viewings of the match, it gets more and more apparent to me that Lomachenko not only got stiffed by Cole, but the official judges as well. Levi Martinez turned in the most accurate scorecard of the bunch 115-113 for Lomachenko, Oren Shellenberger's was a tad bit wide at 115-113 for Salido, but the most egregious of all was handed over by fame ***** camera happy wannabe celebrity ref Jack Reiss, with a ridiculously wide score of 116-112 for Siri Salido, thankfully Jack usually sticks to reffing, a job in which he does a marginally better job in.

So I figured I'd give it yet another watch, and do some crappy little summation write ups for each round, yet I studied each one with a fine toothed comb, a few of them I even watched twice, not in slowmo though,:D yes I'm that much of a geek, to humbly turn in IMO the best and easily the most accurate score of all. Whether you agree or disagree, leave your opinions, but... I urge you all to go back and watch this match as closely as you possibly can, and you'll realize that Salido's aggressive is as ineffective as all hell, he barely lands anything clean, most are slipped, blocked or parried, whereas Loma is consistently landing the cleaner and harder shots in the majority of the rounds. So give it a second look, leave your scores, since we never had an official one, and tell me... did Loma really lose this, or was in fact... A Robbery.:deal:

Much has been made of the fouling and low blows, the terrible reffing, but its almost taken as gospel that Lomachenko lost, and that Salido is somehow his "daddy" well this is my attempt at dispelling this silly fallacy, because somehow mired in all the much ballyhooed controversy surrounding this match, the actual scorecards have largely gone completely unscathed and scrutinized. Well I'm here to scathe them and scrutinize.:ggg

Vasyl Lomachenko vs. Orlando Salido RBR

    Round 1

Salido comes out incredibly cagey and cautious, not looking to engage, Loma just as cautious pressing forward behind a probing jab, Salido attempts a hook, lands on the arm, Loma lands jab, he corners Salido, who attempts a hook, lands on Loma's back, Salido lands jab to body, Loma snaps his head back with a jab of his own, Loma tries to get in close, Siri holds, both throwing leads, both miss, Loma backs Salido into the corner throws 3 punch combo, 2 land, Salido attempts a hook and uppercut, both miss, Loma lands lead left, Salido lands hook, Loma opens up and lands small flurry to edge the round.

    Lomachenko 10-9 Close

    Round 2

Both men are probing again, Salido finally unfurls a right hook that lands on the side of Loma's face, Loma backs out, Siri swings wildly, missing a wild hook, Loma catches the other two on his arms, Siri tentative again, Loma shoots out a jab it partially connects, follows up with a straight left to the body, they stand and throw a ton of feints at each other, Salido leaps in and lands a hook to the body, Loma holds, Loma flicks out a few jabs, most are caught, Salido lunges in, lands nothing clean, they hold, Salido lands a low blow, Loma fires back with a straight left and a few one twos, Salido trudging forward winging in hooks, Loma parries most of them and pirouettes out, still charging forward, he lands a partially blocked low blow, Salido lands hook to Loma's neck, Loma lands a few hooks.

    Salido 10-9 Close

    Round 3

Salido coming forward winging in wild shots throughout, most not landing cleanly or on Loma's back and arms, Loma landed straight lefts, and fast one twos, consistently, Salido landed several low blows, and a clean hook on the neck of Loma, but the cleaner shots were clearly landed by Vasyl.

    Lomachenko 10-9 Close

    Round 4

Siri charging forward, Loma giving him more lateral movement, shooting in fast one twos, and pivoting away, Salido misses most of his shots, Loma lands 3 punch combo, slips away, Loma lands jab that snaps his head straight back, low blow hooks from Siri, hard straight left from Loma again snaps Siri's head back, Siri wings in hooks, most miss or hit Loma's back, Loma lands clean jab and a one two, Loma backs up as Siri lunges forward into another 3 punch combo, followed by a straight left, Orlando marching forward, swinging violently landing little clean, most either low blows or land on the arms, Siri gets in a few more low blows, Loma lands a hard 3 punch combo, Salido missed a ton, most of Loma's shots were clean.

    Lomachenko 10-9 Close

    Round 5

Loma keeping Salido at bay with his jab, occasionally shooting out his straight left, including a hard left to the midsection, Siri not landing anything clean again, trying to land ball shots, Loma playing the matador jabbing him in the forehead, they hold, Loma spins out lands a right hook to the temple, a lot of feinting for the middle minute, the only thing that lands clean is a hard left to the face of Salido, Loma landed several straight lefts, Salido landed little aside from low blows or shots to the arms.

    Lomachenko 10-9

    Round 6

Salido far more aggressive, he's picked up the pace and is really pressing the action throughout the first two minutes, Salido mostly hit him on the arms, in the balls or on the back, but he was far more active, Loma almost stole the round back in the second half with the cleaner sharper counters, one twos, accuate straight lefts and hooks.

    Salido 10-9 Really Close

    Round 7

Salido with a ton of ineffective aggression, but Loma doing little to nothing, is holding far too much, Orlando is landing to the body a little more cleanly at times, but a lot of them are below the belt, Loma looks to worthless Cole for help, he gets nothing, Loma stands his ground lands hard straight left to the gut of Salido, that drives Siri into the ropes, he follows up with a left up top, Loma lands several one twos through the rest of the round, and an occasional hook, Loma manages to salvage round late, barely.

    Lomachenko 10-9 Really Close

    Round 8

Salido comes out raging, Loma's defense is little very ragged, and he's a little more gassed, most of Siri's shots are still being blocked or slipped, but with his roughhousing he's getting enough in to the body and up top to count, Loma tightens it back up late landing a slew of clean counters, but Salido hangs in there still landing enough to edge it.

    Salido 10-9 Close

    Round 9

Loma tightened up his defense quite a lot in the 9th, but Salido is still the far far more active of the two, although a lot of the shots he's landing are still low, Loma gets a few hooks in here and there, but probably his weakest round. Salido still full of energy, Loma looked knackered.

    Salido 10-9

    Round 10

Salido comes out for the 10th looking totally depleted, almost running on empty, seemed to have blown his load in the 9th, but still pressing the issue, he's even less accurate than before, Loam landing clean counter hooks up top, starting to work him on the inside, gets through with a shot to the body, and a hook to the head, he pushes Salido, he goes down, very slow to rise, Loma lands the cleaner shots the rest of the round.

    Lomachenko 10-9

    Round 11

Salido is horribly gassed, he grabs and pins Loma's arms against his ribs, Loam is smartening up, he's yanking his arms down and out, working the body of Salido consistently, who's barely hanging on, Loma landing short hooks to the face, and looping hooks to the body, a lot of roughhousing from Siri, but most of the effective clean shots landed by Loma.

    Lomachenko 10-9

    Round 12

Salido holding almost from the outset, Loma trying to wriggle free, Siri landing ball shot after ball shot, in plain sight of Cole, Cole sees nothing, head clash early, more roughhousing from Orlando who is completely done, his gastank is empty, Loma lands savage picture perfect striahgt left that staggers Salido onto his heels and into the ropes, he's badly hurt, Loma lands a hard left hook to the body, Salido staggers back towards the other rope eats another hard straight left, Cole steps in, buying Siri some time, Loma whipping in hooks to the body and to the drooping chin of Salido, who is hanging on for dear life, somehow he sees the final bell. Huge round for Lomachenko.

    Lomachenko 10-9

    116-112 Lomachenko

115-113 and 114-114 are the only other possible scores.

I never watched the whole fight(at work), but something I noticed from the couple rounds I watched that you put up, was Loma is a far improved fighter than he was then. I'm going to watch when home and give my score, but one thing, Salido is lucky there wasn't another round !

I believe I scored it close in Salido's favor, but realistically he got away with so much fouling and had to hold on for dear life at the end, that his win was even more tainted as Mares' "win" against Agbeko in their first encounter.

Its the latter, the Mayweather would lose to Lomachenko thread is what drove him over the edge a few weeks back, it appears he's been triggered once again.

I'd have to watch and actively score but at the time I remember having Salido up, he looked ready to go in the 12th and he fouled like crazy though.

I'm pretty sure there never was an official RBR, I've tried looking one up a few times as well a couple of times, either it got deleted by the admin for some reason, maybe too many complaints, or IB was simply off that night.

Loma comes out with a nice steady guard in round one.
Then go look at his next with Russell, and Loma is a damn spastic. Changing angles, guards, dipping high and low all the damn time.

IIRC, I had it 115-113 Lomachenko at the time. Could get to Salido 115-113, but Warlando's late round fade from Round 10 on cost him the win on my card.

So, mister Butt had it a 114-114 draw
Pinoy had it 117-111 for Salido (widest card I've seen)
    Drew had it 115-113 Loma
And Drinquor didn't seem to be in the RbR at the time.

    1-1-1-1
    1W-1L-1D-1NC
And it looked like the draw was the consensus score.
