The thing is that despite the extreme style differences, Lomo didn't control the ring at all. Specifically I have cited that for years as to why Salido properly bossed him around the ring for the first three quarters of the fight and got the decision because of so, despite Lomo being better in almost every department. The distance, location, and pace was heavily dictated by Salido.

Not when everyone involved with the WBSS and the fighters themselves say it's an amateur bout.

Ohh so Castillo came into his fight with Floyd nearly 20lbs over the weight limit and also went low over 40 times??

It really isn’t ;) Castillo clearly beat Floyd within the rules while Salido got a GIFT decision against Loma by bending the rules. And bending is an understatement.

    Exactly!
Arum and Loma have pushed for a rematch recently but its really now necessary. Loma avenges nothing because Salido is simply not the same Salido, he's well passed it. It would be the equivalent of Kostya Tszyu facing Vince Phillips several years after losing to him when Phillips was shot.
Tszyu to his credit never pushed to make that fight and he could have. Much respect to Tszyu for that.

Loma clearly was the ring general and Salido couldn't land anything solid if one excepts low blows. All the clean shots belonged to him.

Just because one plods forward wailing the arms and hitting gloves and elbows and targeting the protective cup doesn't whatsoever mean dictating the pace.

You are correct. In this case, however, it was indicative of such.

I had Lomachenko winning, but the Texas judges were against him and Lawrence Cole cheated for Salido as well, it was a split decision even in Salido's home territory, Lomachenko should have won, if Cole had done his job.............

Doesn't matter what the fighters say. Amateur rules are clear. They were paid, and fought under Pro rules. Those are facts. Boxrec even considered them Pro fights, until Lomachenko started getting some hype and they were pressured by outside entitites to remove those professional bouts from his record.

They were amateur fights. The org/group that put the event on said so. It was an amateur boxing league/tournament. That's the end of the debate, my man.

Amateurs aren't paid, don't fight under the 10 point must system, and wore head gear back then. Not really a debate.
