These two were once supposed to fight back in April of 2019, still a very good fight despite no belt on the line.
I don't mind this. Commey is a good opponent for Loma while staying active. I doubt Loma can stop him within 2 rounds like Lopez did but he'll still shine.
I'll take it, though I think Loma proved his point with Nakatani and wish one of the bigger names were available.
Yes a win is a win. I usually don't go by triangle theories myself, I was just merely pointing out the expected. The amount of rounds shouldn't matter, it's how good he looks regardless if it goes the distance or not. If Loma looks sensational like he did against Nakatani then they definitely need to have a Loma vs Lopez rematch.
He wont stop Commey in 2 like Lopez did but He'll make Commey look foolish so it doesn't matter. I can already envision the styles. This will be a masterclass.
I like this fight, but he was ready for Commey before he was fighting Lopez. I would prefer fight with Haney. He should get his first lose from Loma.
Because he's that level for his division. Good fight with some danger for Loma. Wild swinging hitters are always dangerous for elite boxers, and Loma can't detonate a rumble, tumble guy like Commey, he'll have to work for it. Loma UD12
I saw Commey calling out Haney the other day. That would have been interesting, too, had it come off. Anyways, Commey is a solid top-5 guy at the weight, so this is a very good stay-busy bout. I do wonder who Haney will get now, though. I am thinking that Ryan Garcia probably gets Joseph Diaz and Gervonta Davis may get Cruz or someone at 140, so that would leave Haney short of options. Maybe Fortuna...
