Peak Robinson at 147 is paper title level today if that, I’d back Lomachenko to outbox 147 pound paper titlists despite the size disadvantage.

It's you who doesn't understand boxing.

That is abundantly clear with your posts.

Yes, a hook will always be a hook.

    Always.

There's not been any new punches invented in the modern era.

Yes, boxing is a standalone sport where there's been no marked improvement since the 90's.

The sport simply does not evolve every decade like some other sports have. If it did, then the boxers of today would be absolutely head and shoulders above the best fighters of the 70's, 80's and 90's. Yet that's clearly not the case, as many of those guys from back then would definitely be able to beat some of the guys of today.

Boxing stopped evolving a long time ago. For many years now, we just see where each division ebbs and flows. Sometimes the divisions are really strong, sometimes they're really weak, and sometimes they're just average. This has been happening for years.

If you really think that boxing as a whole has improved since the 90's, then just do a quick comparison between then and now from the following divisions:

    WW
    JMW
    MW
    SMW
    HW

The divisions which have improved today are LHW and CW. Those divisions are currently strong. But there's no comparison between the MW's and SMW's of the 90's, to today, not unless your name's Mirkofilipovic.

Imagine if Loma had 19 losses?

    Put it into context.

Imagine if Loma fought 200 times, into his 40's.

Yes, the guy's a phenomenal talent. But he's 31 and has only fought 13 times.

Loma is an unbelievable talent like RJJ and Floyd etc. But just because he's arrived on the scene, it doesn't mean that the whole of boxing has evolved in the way that other sports have.

    You're an absolute fool.

Ray had incredible skills, and he advantages in height, reach, weight and power.

He'd have had a 7-8" reach advantage over Loma.

You're talking to a guy who thinks that today's crop of MW's are better than the MW's of the early 90's.

    Ha!

We won't even be able to find out how Loma looks after 40 fights, fighting into his 30's.

The chances are, he'll be long gone by then.

    Again, CONTEXT you fool.

What on earth would Loma look like in 6/7 years, had he have fought TWO HUNDRED times?

Ray didn't have a huge spell in the amateurs like Loma did. He was fighting pro's from an early age, on a MONTHLY basis, where many of the fights were scheduled for 15 rounds.

Ray once rematched LaMotta, just THREE WEEKS after their previous fight.

Their circumstances simply can't be compared.

The ignorance that you are portraying is absolutely staggering.

    Ha!

    Why's that then?

    You're not analysing his skillset.

There's only thing that you're concentrating on:

    His D.O.B.

    How sad.

This thread is a good way identify which posters are :

    1. From Eastern Europe
    2. White supremacists
    3. Don't know **** about boxing

Or are a combination of all 3 because if you think Lomachenko wins this you are one, two or all three of the above options.

The 'evolution' of boxing over time isn't linear.

    It's cyclical.

    Why dont people understand this?
