He's not trying to build a legacy in the WSB, he's committed to one season and has said that he wants to turn pro in the states afterwards. WSB is perfect preparation for the pro game because he's not fighting cans on undercards, he'll be ready to fight good competition from the very start of his pro career. I wouldn't be surprised if he's been offered 7 figure deals from the big promoters.

Well for starters, he's not fighting. As mentioned, he's doing a load of promo work instead of fighting. There's been a couple of lightweight contests so far and other fighters are filling in for him.

He MAY fight in it eventually, however how much more prep does he need for the pro game? He's a two time Olympic gold medalists who's already fought against the best in the world for years on end and dominated. I guess a little experience boxing the best amateurs in the world in a more pro-style fight would help, however he can get that experience in the 4/6's at the start of his career.

Sure it's a lower level of opposition, but who's to say these top amateurs he's gonna be fighting in the WSB are gonna transcend to the more pro style and provide any more of a challenge? He'd be far better off turning pro as soon as he can IMO.

He's fighting in 6 hours time
He fought in the Olympics less than 6 months ago, he was allowed a little break.
Of course the WSB fighters are going to be better than the typical cans a pro faces, they're top amateurs and whether you like it or not the guys he's facing would also destroy the typical cans that get fed to a pro at the start of their career.
Fighting in one season of WSB will make no difference apart from a positive one, no head guards, 10 point must system, against good opposition over 5 rounds. He already has a pro style, fighting the usual sort of fighters that get fed to a pro fighter at the start of their career would only stifle Lomachenko's progress. The top amateurs are miles ahead of most pros in all aspects of boxing, don't get confused by the literal meanings of 'amateur' and 'pro'.
