Vasyl Lomachenko's pressure style (Analysis)

Most unique fighter i've ever seen. Might go down as the most fantastic.

Pressure busts pipes and nobody applies pressure the way Loma does. He's practically standing on peoples toes, moving with them like a shadow....and throwing in volume and committing to his punches with power.

He smothers his opponents without smothering himself (ala Tim Bradley), without resorting to slapping to create volume (ala Calzaghe).

He cuts a ring like GGG, throws volume like Calzaghe, smothers like Tim Bradley, cuts angles better than Pac, and slips and slides punches better than Duran.

He's going to fight the biggest, burliest lightweight in the world in September (really a welterweight) who's the biggest puncher in the sport....and the Loma be in his chest popping him clean all night long breaking him with mental pressure.

Orlando salido had a great Fight with Loma. Reminds me of the Pacquiao Sanchez fight Where the greater fighter got lured into a street fight, fighting down to his level from all the dirty tactics. Was a dog fight and only his second pro fight. I think he took it as a lesson not a loss.

 

Lomachenko is far and away the best show in the sport.

I want to see him apply that pressure on Manny Pacquiao who, by the way, is smaller than Linares, Campbell, Fortuna, a mere 2 pounds heavier than Duckvonta Gayvis, and would be smaller than Teofimo Lopez on fight night.

 

Against Pacquiao, Loma will outbox, not pressing. His outboxing skill is, in my honest opinion, by far, the best in the world of boxing today. It is the style he hasn't used frequently nowadays due to the size of his opponent in his current weight class.

 

Lomachenko can't outbox or outfight Pacquiao, imo. Pac's faster and hits harder and proven against elites.

 

The **** he did to Pedraza the round where he was on his arse, all out, was a thing of beauty, very impressive. Loma seems to be very fit, I'd like to see that technical, pressure style more often right out of the gate.

 

Lomachenko got his face messed up in that fight.
