I love Izzy to death, but even more than winning, I just want to see him get out of the twilight of his career as something other than a vegetable.

Luevano after a tune-up would be a great opponent for him.

What about Bernabe Concepcion as a tuenup? Concepcion himself hasn't adjusted to the new weight yet..

I dont see why not considering how Luevano is one of the worst title holders in the past 5 years.. He's worse than david Diaz..

    Vazquez/Luevano is an easy fight.

The guy in your avi might turn into David Reid after Vazquez is done with him.

Maybe, after such a long time and after those wars it's not really good to do that without a toon-up.

Ouch... that is a rough fight for the young man. I would not send Concepcion to fight Vazquez even if Vazquez himself is a bit shopworn. He might not be the sharpest knife in the drawer but even a dull blade can kill you.

I like Vazquez a lot but after those wars with Marquez i dont think he has much left.
maybe it would be better if he retired.

He puts Gamboa in a casket then gets outboxed by John

I'd favor him over Luevano as well

I dont think so buddy. You saw how Penalosa could land his hooks on JuanMa. Vasquez is one of the best hookers in the business. If JuanMa wants to hook with Vasquez it would be a short night. After reviewing that fight Im pretty sure now that Vasquez beats JuanMa by stoppage. He was getting hit too much by a former 115 pounder. Vasquez is a big hitting 122 pounder who has shown he can take a very good punch and also give a good one.
Unless Vasquez is totally shot i predict a stoppage in the mid rounds.
