I think he is referring to the war of words they had prior to the Salido fight. There must have been some little beef between them; however, I have no idea what led to it. There must be some Boricua who knows about it. Any leads out there?
Don't know much about it but it had to do with some twitter comments that WV2 wrote. Not sure who started the beef but even Cotto wrote a twitter to try and calm them down. It seemed that WV2 was the one who was trying to make it worse than what it really was.
First Juanma stated that "Vazquez Jr, in an interview with ESPN sports said that Juanma was very arrogant and that his working crew were a bunch of mediocres" and then in a radio interview Vazquez accused Juanma of being very arrogant again and said that Juanma auto proclaimed himslef as the most glorious PR boxer and mocking him by saying that the star of the Puerto Rican flag should be put on his face. But what you all don't know is that Vazquez Jr was recorded giving money to one of the most wanted fugitives of Puerto Rico, Angelo Millones, don't be surprised if he has problems in the near future.
From what I know, WV2 said something along the lines of Juanma not being humble or remembering where he came from... something like that. Juanma responded back, saying he (like WV2) came from the project in PR and that he's still humble... WV2 responded with something along the lines that he was taken out of context and that what he did say was constructive critism. It may not sound like much but both fihgters seemed to get agitated with each others comments, Juanma being in more control while WV2 went on twitter cursing and being all pissed off. I think he later apologized, and Cotto also tried to say that they should be respectful of each other and that the sport of boxing is big enough fo both them, and they should focus on fighting for Puerto Rico in a professional way.
