VAZQUEZ - MARQUEZ 3 is the FOTY ~ but the 4th fight is coming up in February 2009!

Well... as much az the Vazquez-Marquez rivalry remained undecided, I don't see a clear winner in the Marquez-Pacquiao fight as well...

SO BRING ON THE 3RD FIGHT!



Of course Vazquez-Marquez III is still the FOTY, but Marquez-Pacquiao was great as well... PacMan should really give JMM another chance. Great rivalry, great first two fights, no clear winner yet - just before the 3rd Vazquez-Marquez fight...

Bring on the TRILOGY PacMan! Every fight fan of both or fan of boxing should root for a 3rd fight!

 

VAZQUEZ - MARQUEZ 4 COMING UP! 2009 February, Showtime

According to sources on BC, Sycuan and Gary Shaw came to terms so there will be a 4th fight

-We can expect another Fight of the Year candidate (and probably a winner just like Vazquez-Marquez II and III this year)
-Hopefully bigger purses, they deserve it
-Unfortunately higher risk of permanent damage

I don't even think that they are the same once was and the 3rd fight ended with a clear winner (in a close but not controversial fight). A 4th fight would be great for the fans but too much risk for the fighters. We don't want brain damage just to see a fun 45 minutes.

I also think that the way the 3rd fight ended, a deciding knockdown in the very last seconds, is so perfect that it's beyond belief. You just can't surpass it. No way. While a 4th fight would be good, I can hardly imagine it would be THAT good, therefore IMO the 4th fight is unnecessary and damage risky.
