Juanma Lopez, Israel Vazquez and Rafael Marquez are all in Las Vegas and they all want to fight in 2009.

"This is the fight that I want and it could take place this coming year" said Vazquez to El Nuevo Dia yesterday.

Vazquez is still resting from his three incredible fights with Marquez all within a year and also from eye surgery. But he assured that he expects to be cleared for training next month, and after a warm up fight, would be ready to fight Juanma.

"Look, Juanma is a great fighter. I have seen many of his fights and he has a great punch. That's why we are in this sport, to face new challenges, and Juanma is one of them. I'm sure that would be ready to fight him in June."

"There have been talks to have it in New York on a date that is very important to you ( eve of the Puertorican Day paarde as part of the Cotto-Margarito rematch) and of course I'd love the fight. I don't see any obstacles, I just need the medical clearance" mentinoed Vazquez who is with Golden Boy and is also considering moving up to 126.

In regards to moving to 126, "it all depends on what fights can be made, but I can either stay or move since I don't have weight issues".

Marquez, who as Israel is also supporting Oscar De La Hoya, is also looking at any title shot at 122.

"I don't have any serious opponent but I'm going to fight in February and I would like it to be against Celestino Caballero and would then like to unify against Lopez. I want to fight him because I like his style, he's a great puncher and it would be a great fight. I would fight with any champion at 122. In reality, there's a lot of talent in the division and they are all great fights" said Marquez in contrast to what his promoter Gary Shaw mentioned about a possible bout with Lopez since Shaw said that he does not see a Marquez-Lopez fight in the horizon because Lopez is not well known.

Lopez was flattered by the comments from Marquez and Vazquez.

"They both want to fight me and I want to fight them. If Vazquez said that he'd be ready for June, I'll be ready as well. I'm really happy about their comments and it's just a matter of negotiation so that these great fights can happen."- el nuevo dia

Wow, I tought nobody wanted caballero but now it looks interesting that marquez wants to do so, the big problem is the height difference, marquez is around 5'5 or 5'6 and caballero is 5'11

Cotto-Margarito II AND Vazquez-Juanma on the same card?! That would be amazing.

Lopez is a dangerous fight for my boy. Vazquez took massive amount of punishment to beat the crafiter marquez. Looking like a coin toss fight right now.

Why the hell would Vasquez even think about moving up to 126 if he can still make weight at 122? There are no big money fights at 126. At 122, he could fight Juanma, PDL, Gonzalez, Caballero, etc. and they're all at least minor names.

I still think Lopez beats Vasquez at this point, and it won't even be particularly close. 8-4 UD for Lopez, along those lines.
