This is from Steve Kim's message board and Twitter...

    ------------

    Very good chance that Abraham-Dirrell...

will take place at the Agua Caliente Casino near Palm Springs, CA on March 6th( Showtime doesn't want to go on Jan 23rd against HBO's 'BAD' show with Juan Ma Lopez and Yuri Gamboa, I'm told)

    - Also, it looks like Tommy Adamake will face Jason Estrada on Feb 6th in Newark, NJ, although contracts are still being worked on.

Also, Im told that Vazquez-Marquez IV is a done deal for May 22nd at the Staples Center

    ------------

On Valero-Demarco taking place in March...

    ------------

Yes, it's being discussed. Showtime is willing to do the fight if it takes place in a border town in Mexico or a location like Cancun. Valero, because of some legal issues can not fight in the United States

I seriously hope not. I can see either fighter (Vasquez or Marquez) getting seriously hurt after this one. They should both fight softer opponents, that or just plain retire.

Rafa will be out of the ring a full year before fighting.Izzy wil have himself a big layoff too.

Why did they even take toon-ups then?

DO NOT like this fight.Don't wanna see them fight anymore.

Wow I cant believe they are going through with it. I agree and disagree with this fight. One one side you have two fighters who basically gave their bodies away against each other and really dont have much to prove so its the biggest paycheck at the moment. On the other side you have possible exciting matches for both at the new weight division but something tells me they wouldnt be as effective with the elite. I hope this is a farewell fight and end their careers this way.

Vazquez needs to retire. He was awful in his last fight. Both of these guys are warriors and have nothing to prove, what's to stop a 5th fight after this? They are two of my favourite fighters, it was an awesome trilogy but they should hang the gloves up and enjoy retirement.
