48-47 Perez. Mares seems to be slowing a little.

Perez on top now, Mares tired the pace taking its toll, Perez just keeps coming and coming Mares backing up.

    48-47 Perez

Mares' dad co-manages Perez. On paper but they say he's not an 'active' co-manager.

Another Perez round, when Mares is moving on the back foot he's not doing much.

2 of the press row have it for Mares by a point so far :think

    1- Mares
    2- Perez
    3- Perez
    4- Perez
    5- Perez
    6- Mares

Better from Mares here, moving well and picking his punches better.

57-57 Mares' round. Up on his toes and outboxing Perez a little there.

dead even through halfway for me, Mares on the back foot but boxing nicely in the 6th, did the better work

    57-57

Well trading certainly wasn't, he was losing the exchanges. That was the first round he convincingly won in a while.

hard to score the 7th, probably Perez round on activity, Mares running a bit too much

    68-67 perez
